Phase Three Brewing (2019)

Same thing for me. Marmalade is wonderful. Protocol has some issues.

 

I get this Lager/Pilsner flavor in there every time I have it. Not sure what happened there

 

Had both for the first time last night.

Marmalade was excellent. Soft mouthfeel. Dank, green-ness flavor that was really enjoyable. Not at all sweet.

Protocol was a mess. Nothing redeemable about it. No juice, weird yeast flavors. Dumped half it.

 

While I agree with most here that Protocol is trash, I think Marmalade is sliding by on Shaun's reputation.

Had my last can tonight...it's not bad, but the flavors are super mild. There are better versions of this style being made by Hop Butcher, Corridor, Pipeworks...fucking Brickstone & Alarmist (hopefully the Brickstone collab is "MoRe" on the central Illinois tip) for crying out loud.

I'm not saying they won't figure it out, but both of these first releases weren't worth the hype in my opinion. I think if you slapped a generic label on Marmalade the reviews would be way more measured.

You could have posted the same thing 2 years ago when More started. The first batch of cans were trash, and after a month or two they tightened it up

Getting pretty bored with the milkshakes.

I agree. I've realized that since I prefer my hazy beers on the less sweet side, while there are a few milkshakes I really like, their very nature goes against my tastes. I'm hoping whatever the other P3 beer is for this week, it doesn't have lactose.

 

There are five NE IPA’s on their untapped page that haven’t been released yet, so possibly...

 

Not lactose, would you accept oak milk?

And yes, Bodem is a welcome addition to HA’s year-round offerings that can be purchased from the gas station for 10 bucks.

I'm assuming the Low Ceilings is next if they're going in sequence (Citra-Mosaic-Oats). Notably the added beers you mentioned don't have descriptors beyond the name/abv/style

Yeah that was one of the original 4 that the put onto untapped so I think you're right.

 

Grabbed a 6 pack of the new collab with Brickstone. I may share it with a couple other people, or just chug it all tonight.

Still no word on tomorrow or Friday for the 2 new beers this week???
