Drinking Trappiste Rochefort 10, had to visit the local liquor store for that one. I’ve rarely seen it in supermarkets/mall.

Burnt umber colored body; thick and sticky muddy white head. Sweet aroma; candi sugar; fermented raisins and figs. The flavors include slightly burnt sugar, plums, some alcohol; darkly sweet; medium phenol presence. The mouthfeel is heavy and velvety; some boozy warmth and heat.

This is a tasty and boozy dark ale, definitely leaning towards the hotter side of things.

Mostly clear, straw yellow body; subdued, gently rising carbonation; thick, frothy white head; creamy and rocky. Herbal and ripe citrus aroma; vaguely lemony. A little tart, a little tangy, a little bready; well-balanced bitterness; slight bit of alcohol oomph. Medium-light body; slightly velvety; crisp and prickly on the palate; mostly dry mouthfeel throughout the tasting experience.

I expected a cloudier, more hazy body for this beer since it touts itself as a "New England DIPA". That aside, the beer itself is well-balanced, nicely complex, and very approachable.
