    Hey People!

    Would like to say Thank You for all the warm wishes and positive thoughts from yesterday. Much appreciated!
    The wife is off with her mother doing "retail therapy" (shopping) to help clear their minds and stay busy. As for me I'm hanging with the boy today. We let him play hooky from school today :wink:

    One of these with lunch seemed like a great idea.



    Bottled back in September & still tasting fantastic. Coffee hasn't fallen off or faded.

    (P.s. @superspak, dont wait too long to check it out. Wife thought she said fissures and a hemroid for months before finally getting diagnosed. Always stay on top of your health mental or phsical.)

    A rather disappointing cask brown ale from Phantom Canyon -- Bomb-Cask-Lone

    look: 4 | smell: 3.75 | taste: 3 | feel: 3.25 | overall: 3

    Excellent mahogany color with a nice creamy head. Fine roasted and charred grain aroma. The taste is watery and slightly astringent; very faint chocolate notes. Light body; thin and watery mouthfeel.

    This beer is only 3.8% ABV and served on tap at the brewery. I'd love to love this one, but it's thin and watery taste and feel just doesn't satisfy.

    Bright copper hued body; decent head; some sheets of foam clinging to the inside of the glass stein. Light toasted grain smell. Mild bread crust and light cereal grain taste; balanced and subtle hop bitterness. Medium body; gentle warmth with a mainly dry finish.

    On tap at Phantom Canyon. A decent maibock, highlighting a slight bread crust character, well-rounded hop bitterness, and warming mouthfeel.

    the walk back from St. Ann's took 10 minutes
    our lunch break was 30 minutes, so we ran
    the Flower Market was 5 minutes more, so we ran more
    1st stop, food, we wolfed down hot dogs
    Vinnie, Roy, Mark, Steve, Brian and me then chugged 3 Orange Crushs
    around two bucks, I had a paper route, I was adorable, massive Christmas tips
    there were 3 rides worth 3 rides, mid weekday the line wasn't long and the ferris wheel was ignored
    this ride, 5 arms with cages, started spinning
    jerkily elevating 45 degrees
    the circular slick steel rail in the center took it to another level
    we pulled furiously spinning the cage
    this was our last ride, the one closest to school
    as a kid I had to sit in the center of the backseat to look forward
    riding Muni home from work I couldn't sit in the seats facing sideways
    I'm never going on a cruise ship
    Vinnie saw first, I was gonna hurl, didn't occur to him that being six feet away wasn't enough
    Whoa level centrifugal force changes geometry
    Vinnie, Joey Pepper, was lucky but Roy wasn't, he howled
    puke was going everywhere, you'd just speed around and catch up to it
    they all were screaming stop the ride, screaming meant you were having fun
    mid weekday the line wasn't long, the carny thought he was doing us a solid
    we were yelling like we liked it, he let us ride, or so he thought but didn't give a fuck
    I got 'em all, me too, the first blast Roy took became legend
    smelling sour we ran back to school
    that was the year Joey Pepper swallowed a goldfish
