I've only had three different brews from Bare Bottle and I've rated each of them 4+ !

It is time to kick off Green Bay Craft Beer Week!

 

I am having Parabola from Firestone Walker, a Russian Imperial Stout, ABV 12.70 IBU 40. It is not the first time I have it. It is hyped but extremely good. The flavor is roasted malts, sweet caramel and chocolate and vanilla, and significant bourbon, maybe some coffee but not much. It's complex and maybe I am not exactly right about what's in the flavor but it is delicious and a truly great beer.

@DoctorZombies opened with a barleywine and I thought "why not?" Wife and kids are at school and I just finished my 2nd of 5 nightshifts.

Excellent barleywine, but I'm going to try to keep my other bottle for a few years. As a bonus, last night's work is a fuzzy memory after half a glass. Cheers all!

 

Monday morning. Why?

 

After weeks of uncertainty about my internship I finally got confirmation today that I can start in two weeks. I think that calls for a celebratory beverage!

Boss Tweed by Old nation, 9.3% ABV NEIPA. Bought this last week during MBCC and I've been dying to try it. Thought today was a good day to give it a go. I am not disappointed. This is just my kind of IPA. Fruity, tropical and sweet with some bitterness to balance and a creamy and lively mouth-feel. Cheers everyone!

Good morning, BAs! About to take yet another flight and dipping into what has become the traditional Norm's Raggedy Ass IPA from Griffin Claw Brewing.



Once this first year in the job is over, I really think I'm going to miss all the flying. I've gone from dreading it to kinda looking forward to it.

Probably should have done this initially, but a side by side of Phase Three’s latest offerings. I think I like both more than their first two. Although that goes without saying about Protocol.

Well, since @eppCOS also picked a Nirvana Unplugged song, why not one more? Recently finished a book about them called I Found My Friends. Good read. I know I’m not alone in wondering what Cobain could have done if things turned out differently.

 

Flight doesn't board for another 40 minutes and here I am still sipping suds. Aviation Ale, pale wheat ale from Latitude 42 in beautiful Portage, MI.



Honestly, I don't know if Portage is beautiful, I've never been there. But western MI in general is pretty nice.
