Random Phase Three tapping occurred around 4:30. Low Ceilings. It was a tremendous surprise.

 

Thank you guys for making me feel a little better. Now to go yell at my dad for hanging onto a bottle this long...

 

Yeah, I went and did the flight. 5oz pours would be putting it very conservatively. Were more like 8oz pours. It was a great flight.

Never had Templeton Rye so I thought it had a nice bit of boozy sweetness to it. I did get the coconut from Prop 13, albeit it was relatively faint and I’m very sensitive to coconut flavor in general so take that for what it’s worth. Barleywine ‘14 was.... well, as good as it ever was. It’s one of my favorite barleywines and you won’t see a negative comment from me. The surprise one (in a good way) was Vanilla Rye. It still had loads of vanilla and it tasted great.

 

Anyone know why they stopped doing the flights? But still had plenty of the templeton left apparently.

 

GI tweeted that they restored the original bar at Clybourn for the 31st anniversary; anyone see it there? Is it permanent, or just an anny thing?

 

The picture doesn't make it look like its in the same place it used to be. I wonder if its in the...side bar?

 

Cool. Hopefully for the 32nd anniversary they will restore the original BCBS recipe....

 

It also looks about 1/3 of the size like they chopped it down.

 

They just told me on Twitter that it’s in a secret location.

Best thing they could do is make it at the Brewhouse and permanent.

No, I know. I was genuinely excited when I saw the bar back (even though I actually didn't drink at the bar all that often). I did my best impression of a Picard facepalm when I saw them respond "it's not at the Brewhouse."

WHY

 

It was a cool thing for them to do for John Hall, I guess, but they should've realized that putting it on social media would just end up annoying people.

 

Anyone know if the beer menu for Fulton is accurate or if anything out of the ordinary is planned for draft today? It says it was updated yesterday, but I feel some the items kicked. Plan on stopping by this afternoon
