@PhilBallins you know better than to start a conversation about the actual beer...come on man we expect better.

Have they ever done a non-flavored henna - and if so have you had it? Otherwise just tough to compare, like comparing apples to oranges or saying honey nut cheerios in chocolate milk tastes better than wheat bran in water. I don't want to speak for @mbockstruck30 - but maybe the point is that the flavor from the actual beer ingredients are better?

They've done a barrel aged no-additive version, (it was awesome BTW - maybe my favorite beer from them). I'm just not sure about a non-BA non-flavored Henna.

That’s my point. They brew great stouts, I just think they put way too much adjunct over what appears to be a great base. So I preferred this way more than any Henna variant I’ve had.

That honey nut in chocolate was top notch.

Still funny... I think the “unpredictable weather” is the funniest joke there. Might be the one I quote for years to come

Or if people start looking outside More, Mikerphone, Hop Butcher ect they'll find some pretty killer beer that is easily available without waiting in line or trying to buy tickets. There is so much great beer in Chicago, being at BUG yesterday confirmed this, no real need to spend to much time on beer that's impossible to get.

Speaking of More - I forgot to post, but beer temple had cans of the more / new image Boss stout collaboration yesterday. $8 a pint, I think

The Henna beers have been great because of the impressive way More has gotten the flavors of the adjuncts to "pop" in a way that they don't in many other beers. I'm not sure the Henna base beer would be that great on its own though.

Arketype is fantastic on its own and has a ton of flavor. One of the best stouts I've had in a long time. And even with so much flavor in the base stout, the vanilla/chocolate flavors in the French Silk variant really pop the same way they did with Henna Swirl.

Any insight into whether BA Henna: Cinnamon/Maple/Vanilla and Mehndi 2019 will be available for on-site consumption starting on Thursday? If not Thursday, further down the road possibilities? Not at all??

They said they would have it on tap beginning at 11 am on Thursday, unless something changed I'm unaware of.

2018 Mehndi was bottles only for onsite. I'm assuming with the Eventbrite situation that won't happen (if it was still planned to be the same way). I'm hoping to try both on draft this weekend

Got to More just after 11 to pick up my bottles of CMV and Mehndi. Small line to get into the restaurant, no line in the bottle pickup. Was able to walk up to the bar right after getting my bottles and got a pour of both. CMV is delicious, the maple and cinnamon meld together perfectly. My first time having Mehndi and it may be my favorite non adjunct BA stout. Its for lack of better words, chewy. The barrel is perfect to me.

Both were on draft.. heard the had a half barrel of each.

Was the half barrel before or after they sold a bunch of it early?

On a serious note, why don’t they keg more of this???

They kegged full barrels, but had to switch them to bottles after the accidental presale.

    (This is not true)

You actually got me to laugh out loud at that. 3 hours waiting!? I’ve shown up 15 minutes before some of these tapping and gotten a table and pour. I’ve also shown up a couple hours after open and gotten a table and a pour.
