    Telluride - Telluride Mountain Beer

    4.07/5 rDev 0%
    look: 3.5 | smell: 4 | taste: 4.25 | feel: 4 | overall: 4

Clear, light gold colored body; slowly rising, slightly rough carbonation; decent head, a bit thin yet still leaves rings inside the glass. Excellent wheat and herbal aroma; toasted grain. The flavor combines fine elements of toasted cereal grains with a subtle and balanced hop bitterness; just a smidgen of dry grass. Medium body; crisp and semi-dry; nice gentle warmth throughout.

This kölsch is apparently a new offering from Teulluride Brewing Company. The clerk at the beer store said he thinks it replaces their wheat beer (the brewery's web site currently has nothing on this beer). Whatever the back story, the beer itself brings a nice light grain and soft hop bitterness to the palate. It drinks easily and is a nice alternative to a light pilsner or American adjunt lager styled beer.

I've seen Little Steven and the Disciples of Soul twice, once at the Cleveland Agora shortly after this album was released, and then a few years later at the Metropol in West Berlin. Fines shows...

Now that FBS is available year-round, I buy a four pack almost every time I'm at the "local" shop. Can't go wrong.

Dark purplish body; light magenta hued head, thick and creamy. Soft fruit jam aroma; light note of berries. Light notes of blackberry; a bit tart. Light body; dry and feathery with a tangy, dry bite.

Well, this beer is definitely bramble berry entity. The berry taste is rather muted and not overbearing, but there is little else to really define it. The body seems rather light and airy. This would make a decent hot weather thirst quencher although it does lean towards being more dry than juicy.
