Have to run into Madison, NJ for errands and hoping for a recommendation on a local place for lunch that has good brews on tap? Also a separate place for cans to go?

    TIA

Gary's Wine in Madison is probably the closest to where you'll be with a good beer selection. Twin Elephant is pretty close by if you want to pick up growlers (no food though).

Garys in Madison and Bottle King in Chatham (1 block from Twin Elephant) will have your best cans/bottles options. For breweries, there's also Untied Brewing in New Providences, but TEB is better. Madison wine Cellars has huge beer selection, but I would be careful about freshness there.

Not a lot of places with beer on tap in Madison proper - 54 Main has the largest selection, mostly macro but usually with a couple NJ/Local options, for sure Kane Head High. Food is decent if nothing memorable. Bottle Hill Tavern has a few taps, maybe one will be localish. Prospect Tavern is another spot, but I haven't been in so long, I can't speak for their tap list... never used to be NJ stuff tho.

For variety, The Office and Hat Tavern in Summit will probably have your biggest selection including NJ stuff. Winberries in summit as well will have a couple local option, with nice outdoor seating option. Morristown also has options with Stirling Tavern, Famished Frog, End of Elm, Revolution, etc...

Lots of BYO options around though... so can always get cans or a growler and go to Daddy Matty's for example, for some good BBQ right in Madison...

Hit the Office Tavern for the food and brews, Exit 16, were perfect especially given the great weather.

    Thank you all again!
