    Boners dias. A little hair of the dog this mornin' after I had a couple of big beers last night that just wiped me out (some DIPA from Outer Range at 10% and some Revolution Straight Jacket BBA Barleywine). So something lighter - but still feeling some Chicago nostalgia so had to get a 4 pack of this. Tasty... Ursula's Via Chicago pale ale - local to Denver area, but still tied to the city I miss a lot.

    A little heavy handed with the vanilla, but better than the coffee version to my taste. I wouldn't purchase either again. Cheers all and enjoy your Friday!

    Wish I could say up with the sun but it's rainy as hell in Omaha. Either way I'm up early , installing some carpet in our basement, so I decided to crack another DIY thing and match it up accordingly.

    Homebrew Brut IPA with lemongrass and Idaho 7, called Brut Loop. Aroma opens with floral, lemongrass, hay, and pepper, and what smells exactly like the white colored gummi bears. (I assume it's safe to say sugary pineapple?). Flavor is much better than I remember, exploding with grapefruit, white lily, lemongrass, lemon, white grape, tangerine, black tea, and pear. Feel is crisp, effervescent, and dry, dry, dry. Almost zero remaining sugars. I don't know if it's fair to give my own beer scores so I'll just say if it were another brewery I'd probably give it a 4.2. I've had good feedback on it from several others too so I think I'm gonna keep it around to brew again. Cheers!
