would like to try. their reservation only crowler policy is kind of strange don't really want to buy ahead of time when I'm not positive I'll be able to make it in their small window
Thought I would give this thread a bump. Picked up Ochos Locos last night at Whole Foods. Love their Day 1 distribution. Nothing like checking the date on an IPA and seeing its today's date. As Ochos Locos, another Very Good West Coast IPA from ESBC. Happy Anniversary .
Opened a 2018 Old Jetty tonight. IMO, this beer has improved with 5 months on it. Worth opening a bottle if you have one.
Hmmm since no one commented on Drop Shadow, does that mean it's a dud? I realized we got cans in SF, so I picked one up and will try it tonight. I never bothered to visit El Segundo in my numerous stays near LAX, but after trying Power Plant and Mayberry very recently, I now realize my folly.
I enjoyed Dropshadow and glad it made it to distro, as it might not be up there with brewery only cans, but I definitely think they are getting closer to really dialing in their hazy offerings - even though they probably don't really like making them lol.
I went to Slice n Pint a few weeks ago, randomly, because I was picking someone up from the airport . good slices. good pints. wanted to go to the main brewery actually but didn't realize they were closed. was happy SnP had most of the El Seg beers on tap
I thought drop shadow was tasty. Not as good as monkish, modern times, and brouwerij west but still tasty. Especially for the price. I think I bought a 4 pack for $12.99
Drop shadow is not in the same league as mentioned above. But for a standard haz ipa, its good. I don't do monks. Havent really done much of MT special online releases lately. When I did, it was a hit or miss for me. Waiting for the pool location to open up. I do BW hazy. I like what BW has to offer. I mostly stick with Revision hazy stuff. Some Moonraker and ASB hazy's. But West is still the Best.
Imperial Revolucion was great. I cannot believe I didn't check in to Untappd, so afraid I can't give you specifics, but I remember it was delish.
