Ill have to go through my booklet and remember what my favorites were.

A few that i remember that stood out to me was wine barrel bcbs and apple brandy!

And whoever the dude poring the GI barrels that gave me a full glass of buffalo trace is awesome!

I remember LOVING sticky monkey! Velvet merkin was decent but i think it is a fantastic, sessionable, barrel aged beer. Id like to see some of those!

Blueberry flanders was amazing! Mayan gold was amazing.

Seriously, i cant even pick a favorite.

Is it time for Fobab 2013 yet?

    Track 10
    Bourbon Ed
    Clare's Thirsty Ale
Bo and Luke from AtG/De Molen
    Apple Brandy BCBS

Others I really liked include .357 Brett from Flossmoor and Tartare

Bo & Luke was, as always, great. Sadly, the beer gets a bad rap because I tell people how much I like it.

If you mixed all four Destihl sours the result was really good. We ended up calling it Four Sour Power.

Yeah, the table I was at was pretty sloshed, why do you ask?

Great time as always. Standout beers imo....Perennial Blueberry/Raspberry Flanders & BA Abraxas, Lost Abbey Track #10, Apple Brandy BCS, Avery Odic Equum, Bear Republic Tartare, Bell's Raspberry Wild One, Destihl Apricot Sour, Haymarket Clare's Thirsty Ale, and Three Floyds Ronaldo.

Only real issues I had with the new venue: Hot, open the damn windows earlier next time. Even though the space was bigger, they had to have sold way more tickets because it was a lot more crowded than it's ever been. Things still ran out really fast. King Henry and Cherry Rye BCS were pulled before 1:30. For the IMBIBE hour, they wasted a lot of time at the beginning because they waited until the very last part of check-in to see if you were actually in IMBIBE. They should have gone through the line checking IMBIBE membership like they did for checking ID's.

I had a great time at the afternoon session. It was great to meet some new BAs and I spent a good part of the afternoon hanging out with Treebs. There's a lot of hating on the Cherry Rye BCBS, but I actually really enjoyed it! I tried it right after having Bell's BA Cherry Stout and while I thought Bell's was more balanced, I really enjoyed the tart pie cherry flavor that I was getting from Cherry Rye. That was definitely a favorite of mine. My other favorite was Avery's Odic Equum. Holy shit that is a phenominal beer!! BA Abraxus was awesome, BAB9K was fantastic, and I really enjoyed Track 9. I thought BA Behemoth was really unimpressive, and besides the wine barrel version, I didn't get a lot of differences between the BCBS flight varieties. The only beers that I wanted to try that I missed were King Henry and Blueberry Flanders. As a brewery, I think Bell's had the most impressive lineup. What a badass event - I'm definitely not going to miss this one in the future!

I enjoyed the hell out of BA Behemoth, personally. It was my first tie having that and 2nd time having King Henry and i personally liked Behemoth more.

Mayan Gold blew them both away, imo

There was at least 20 abandoned glasses at the coat check. Took home 6 to use as tasters.

Desthil sours were great. Cherry BC was just ok. To me the cherry flavor overpowered any bourbon flavor.

yeesshhh... i just woke up after sleeping for 12 hours and I had this terrible nightmare that BCBS cherry won best in show with track #8 in second over amazing beers like Cuvee de bubba, perennial blueberry & BA abraxas, BCBS wine, Raspberry wild one, apricot dekkera's, Erics ale, mayan gold & fertile cresent. Glad it was only a nightmare.

Interesting side note - I'm glad i didnt trade for first born for BB 9K, p4k hipster rating of 6.9.
Also - WTF was track 11..... that won bizarro beer flavor of the day, you know because black tea, peaches, bourbon and a strong ale all go together. I didn't pour it out because this side of a insane persons homebrew I've never seen a more bizarre flavor profile.

There were a few windows that eventually got opened up. I remember standing around the 800's for 10 minutes at one point just soaking in the cool breeze.
