Have a nice Sunday BA. Bronchitis getting worse daily, should turn around soon.

Amazing as always. Aromas and flavors of huge dark roasted coffee, milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, caramel, molasses, brown sugar, toffee, fudge, vanilla, cream, bourbon, toasted oak, roasted nuts, and dark bread; with lighter notes of coconut, licorice, raisin, prune, fig, date, smoke, char, leather, tobacco, herbal, and yeast earthiness. Light booze in the aromas as it warms, but not overwhelming. Mild herbal, roast, charred, coffee bitterness; and bourbon/oak tannin spiciness on the finish. Light-medium carbonation and very full body; very creamy, silky, velvety, rich mouthfeel that is amazing. Light slickness, sticky hops, chalky roast, and oak tannins. Lightly increasing lingering hop/char/tannin dryness; no cloying/acrid flavors. Dangerously smooth, mild increasing warmth of 14.8%, minimal lingering booze. This was definitely better than the base beer for me. Perfectly balanced between rich malts, fruity/nutty coffee complexity, and bourbon barrel presence/integration; with mild fruity yeast and earthy hops against sweetness. Was definitely less bitter/charred/drying than the base. Still love both. Spot on style examples all around.

Foundation / Old Nation collab NEDIPA. This was fantastic. Aromas and flavors of huge tangerine, orange juice, red grapefruit, lemon, lime, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, coconut, red apple, passion fruit, papaya, mango, honeydew melon, guava, blueberry, citrus peel/rind, cedar, mint, and light peppercorn/pine hops; with moderate cracker, white bread dough, lightly toasted biscuit malts; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Light pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, floral, woody, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-plus body; creamy, silky, bready, grainy malts; some sticky hops, and light resins/rinds in the mouthfeel. Lightly increasing lingering resin dryness; no hop astringency. Very smooth, nicely soft, minimal warming 8.2%. Fantastic Sabro, Mosaic, Centennial profile. Extremely juicy, vibrant, and fairly dank/earthy hops; with a great balanced bready oat/pils/Vienna malt backbone. Light residual sweetness with lingering dryness. Spot on stuff as expected. Wish I would have gotten a 2nd pack.

Good day BAs! Kind of surprised we haven't heard from our Euro-brethren yet today, considering that it's after 1400 in parts of Euro-land. Today's New Breakfast Beer is a cross-post with NBS:

Rum barrels, you say? To me, it's distinctly mezcal, which makes up about 33% of my non-beer booze consumption! This is GOOOD!

Night gathers, and now my watch begins. It shall not end until my death. I shall take no wife, hold no lands, father no children. I shall wear no crowns and win no glory. I shall live and die at my post. I am the sword in the darkness. I am the watcher on the walls. I am the shield that guards the realms of men. I pledge my life and honor to the Night's Watch, for this night, and all the nights to come.

Fantastic as usual. Aromas and flavors of big red grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, peach, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, mango, honeydew melon, berries, citrus peel/rind, wood, peppercorn, and pine hops; with moderate honey, caramel, bread dough, toasted biscuit, light nutty malts; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, floral, woody, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-plus body; balanced creamy/bready malts, sticky hops, and some resins/rinds in the mouthfeel. Light-moderate increasing resin dryness, no cloying/astringency. Very smooth, not aggressive, minimal warming 7.5%. Fantastic Nugget, Warrior, Columbus, Simcoe, Palisade profile. Very juicy, vibrant, and fairly dank/earthy hops; with a great balancing dark/Munich malt backbone. Light residual sweetness with lingering resin dryness. Revisited the review last week, should have done it sooner than I did.

Amazing batch this year as expected. Aromas and flavors of big juicy/tart/tangy red raspberries, fruit skin/seeds, raisin, red grape, plum, pear, red apple, pepper, candi sugar, and toasted bread; with some herbal hops and yeast earthiness. Touch of banana/clove. Balanced fruit tartness and peppery yeast spice on the finish against malt sweetness. Medium carbonation/body, and fairly crisp finishing. Some bready/grainy creaminess, fruit tannins, and lightly slick/syrupy in the mouthfeel. Good dryness from fruit acidity and yeast spice; never too sweet. Very drinkable, minimal warming 9.2%. Already got 4 packs. This shows great balance of Belgian yeast character, without just being a straight over the top fruit beer. Love Rubaeus too, this is basically just the imperial Belgian version. One of my favorite fruit beers of all time. I wouldn’t mind Cerise coming back either. Super jammy. Will keep buying more while I can.

Another FOC NEIPA. This was outstanding. Aromas and flavors of big mandarin orange juice, red grapefruit, lemon, lime, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, blueberry, black currant, citrus peel/rind, wood, mint, peppercorn, and pine hops; with moderate wheat, cracker, biscuit dough, light honey/toasted malts; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, woody, floral, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation/body; balanced creamy/bready malts, sticky hops, and some resins/rinds in the mouthfeel. Light-moderate increasing resin dryness; slight lingering hop astringency, but not overwhelming. Very smooth, not overly aggressive. Minimal warming 7.5%, with lightly increasing hop burn through the glass. Awesome Eureka/Mosaic profile. Super juicy, dank, and earthy balanced hop complexity; with a great wheat/oat/malt backbone. Minimal residual sweetness with lingering resin dryness. Very well done, just a bit too bitter/drying than expected.

These two Milwaukee, WI, breweries represented here, are as masterful at brewing NEIPAs, as the Milwaukee Bucks are at dominating the NBA Eastern Conference!
