Anyone try xBBA xDVR or xRBA xDVR? Curious how the DVR barrels finished the beer.

Does anybody know if all of the bands ended up playing? Curious about the weather shutdown delay.

I have a Rye DVR thinking about bringing it to next year's DLD if we go.
I'm not sure but High on Fire was pretty awesome.

Reading the description it is different this year. I think it is apple brandy barrels. Last year it was sherry.

This years FVM is actually really good. Higher bottle count and past vintages being duds probably won’t make it one of the more sought after variants, but it’s definitely well done. The wine barrel is very inoffensive and the adjuncts are well balanced.

Initially I was bummed to get it, then I tried it, and was super happy. I still wish I had gotten the RBA DVR though, as I'd love to have one of the first beers they aged in their own barrels. (Though, the beer inside could be absolutely terrible, who knows)

Really happy to get a Rrari, I thought that beer was fantastic

Also, haven't heard anyone mention the burger. Maybe, I was just hungry, but I ate that thing in like 20 seconds and loved every bite.

Thievery seems to still be a huge issue. I kinda wish FFF would either extend the bottle pick-up window or put the last band on at 7, so people don't have to hold their bottles as long if they don't want to. I feel 7 PM would also make sense as they didn't tap any variants after 5:30, which also sucked.

Lmao. It literally tasted like Indiana tap water put through a soda stream. No minerals to optimize taste. I got a good laugh by the description which basically was “Lake
Michigan water carbonated and nothing else.” Damned if I didn’t taste hints of algae or fish...

Is it prohibited from re-selling municipal water with out adulterating it in some manner, I.E., adding bubbles? Goose Island did the same thing at Prop Day- complimentary cans of self branded carbonated water, yuck. Just give me normal water please.

They were pouring the Aged Divine Rite that I'm assuming was pulled from these barrels at the distillery on Friday. We tried it, and for only being aged 17 months it was really solid. I bet the Dark Lords aged in these barrels are going to be solid.

I hope so... I got a BBA DVR bottle and I literally haven't heard one person mention it. I've seen many asking for the RBA DVR though.

Another great fest, the rain was actually nice as I needed a cool down from the heat, and the addition of that huge tent by the band area was perfect.

Variant lines I thought were worse than the previous year, was only able to try ChemTrail, Cavaleiro, and FVM; mostly because there were zero lines for these at the times I tried them. They really should limit pours to 1 per person, saw people walking away with several in hand, kind of ridiculous. Once taps opened up after the storm everything was a bit of a cluster-fuck, was in line for Loadstar/Rrari, and was a few people away when they suddenly decided to open up all the registers for people to get variants from, dick move on their end, I stood in a long line for nothing.

Spent most my time in the share tent, made a point to do that this year, had a great time in there, I only wish I had brought far more beer to reciprocate, but they were also cracking down on ounce limits at the entrance.

My initial variant was FVM, however, got to try it on tape so I figured I'd move it so I could try something else and got RyeBADL.

Looking forward to next year, expecting more of next year's variants to be from 3 Floyds own barrels.

I had a great time overall as usual. Great seeing some of you knuckleheads and sharing some beer. The rain and shutting down of taps/food for so long was a major bummer (we had just kinda depleted most of our share beers, so were ready for some taps at that time), but if it's due to lightning and safety of people, it seems like the right call. I was in the big tent, though, and no idea they were trying to get people to leave.

    A couple other random highlights:
    1. Did anyone else happen to be in the allotment line around 4-4:30 and see the hammered dude that tried to use the porta-potties in that area but managed to stumble and completely destroy one of those hand sanitizer stations? I couldn't believe how badly he destroyed it...and then promptly got up and went into a porta-potty.

    2. On the bus ride home, @IlCraftWjgman and I were treated to quite a line of B.S. that some guy came up with in front of us while he tried to swindle some dude out of a variant or two. I don't recall the specifics of what variants he was trying to get, but somehow Handjee must've been involved because he said he sold 2 Handjees last year for $875 EACH. I don't recall if we ever confirmed whether that was dollars or pesos, though.

Another great Dark Lord Day. great seeing a bunch of you guys.

@croush is correct. That may have been some of the shadiest tomfoolery I've seen immediately post beer event. glad those people told.him to f off.

It was a dollar a can with all proceeds going to charity...Can with beautiful FFF artwork label on it. I saw some people walking out with an entire flat of cans as if they were going to resell them because it had FFF branding on it....or they really liked the sparkling water...
