Day 3 from my main man, @vitaminvert...
Black waxed WeldWerks cap this time. Oh my...is it another Medianoche? It poured a motor oil-like thiccc black with a dark tan head. Once again it smelled like chocolate and dark fruit. I got the same sort of oak characteristics as I did yesterday with the Brandy Bourbon Medianoche. This had to be another Noche. I did not detect any adjuncts but almost got this chocolate covered caramel / cherry thing going on. Oh and tons of freaking oak / barrel. This beer was really complex...

Rye Medianoche!!! Only my 3rd Noche but this series is bangin! I read about it a little more and found out this was aged 17 months in Pikesville rye barrels. I freaking love that whiskey, but who doesn't?!? Cheers Andrew! This was great!!!

Big hit in the serving size and Mr Marley on the label. The stove pipe can screams Oscar Blues... nose is bourbon coffee and dark roast... on the palate dark chocolate along with balanced barrel and coffee.. a hint of vanilla on the back end

This is another new tick and its....

JAHVANILLA Ten fidy... really enjoying this as it warms... Cheers yall!

Day 3 from @PassMeAZima brought another sour, my pick. Corked and caged, no distinctive markings that I recognize, so I'm already lost. Immediately hit those Lambic notes, with a little funk on the back end. Some sort of sour fruit, but couldn't pick it out.

Love me some currants, but couldn't distinguish them here. Nice and easy sipper, something I never would thought of trying on my own. This is why I love BIFs, especially the blind kind. Thanks Jason!

Day 3 from @robgage fills the room with maple aroma.

Taste follows, with lavishly rich coffee and there’s some barrel in there as well. This is amazing. Has to be bourbon really thin pancakes.

Ok, now that I have pictures working I can catch you all up on what @dannyfayy has been blowing my tastebuds up with! So Day 1 poured dark and thick! Just the way I like it. The body is silky smooth and there is a slight hint of fruit.

I have been texting Danny with guesses. Was thinking it was a Cycle Brew cause I love their stuff. But he said I was wrong. So I quit guessing and unwrapped the damn thing.

Westbrook/3 Sons Collab Velvet Tuxedo. This beer is awesome. Drinks way to easy at 12%! Love the cherry cab thing going on. It’s subtle. Thanks Buddy!

Now on to Day 2. I could tell from the cork and cage that I was dealing with a Casey. I love me some Casey. Poured a dark red and instantly got Barrel and Berry on the nose.

I originally thought plums or raspberry but then with some help from Danny I realized it was blackberry. Alas the reveal!

Bourbon Barrel East Bank Preserves BlackBerry. This beer is stellar. Hit me in all the right places. Thanks @dannyfayy

Day 3 - Purple waxed bottle from @Kramerbarthomer

So when I opened the box, this was the bottle that intrigued me the most. Purple wax, no stamps.

@Mikexw levels of research lead lead me to 3 purple waxed options (this years DLD bottles notwithstanding): 50/50 Eclipse Elijah Craig, Toppling Goliath Purple Wax Assassin, Fremont Brew 3000. None are local to Denver so who knows!

This is 100% a BW. Don’t know that I’ve ever had a more quintessential BW in my life. This is perfect. Toffee, booze, caramel. I am loving this. No way is this Eclipse or Assassj. It’s not thick enough or Stouty enough for that. So that means this must be B3K, and if so, holy shit. This is phenomenal.

Nailed it! Based on the hype, I did not expect to ever try B3K. My first ever Fremont! Thanks @Kramerbarthomer!

And now Day 3. I could already tell from the shape of the bottle I was probably dealing with mead. And not just any mead...my very first Pips mead. My hunch was confirmed as soon as I took out the cork.

Now. Danny knows that I have been trying to land a specific Pips bottle for awhile. Cali Cotton. My wife loves those cotton candy grapes. Ever since I heard of it, I had to track one down. Danny informed me that I had to share Day 3 with my wife. What a guy!

Wow @dannyfayy this is awesome. Insanely sweet. But so pumped to finally try it. Thank you brother!

Thanks again @azuelke this beer wasn’t even in my radar even though I’m genuinely a fan of HF. This was really tasty!

Day 3 got me F**ked up. Haha the aroma from the cork i immediately knew it is going to be sour AF and had some sort of stone fruit. I thought nectarines or peaches. I honestly can’t tell the difference between the two. After the first sip, I thought my teeth were going to fall out because of the sourness. Wow was this tasty though.

    The reveal!

One Key from Casey with Apricot. This took me a while to finish but it was an amazing beer. Thank you @KyleDavis I keep getting new ticks! Half way through the Spring 6er!

Day 2 from @core42, according to Jeff’s sheet, it’s a 6.5% fruited sour. Felt another cork and cage, assumed Speciation.
I assumed wrong. Lost Abbey cork. Hmm. Pours dark red... smelled like cherry pie. Taste is berries ... lots of berries. Gonna assume Veritas, but I haven’t followed the last couple releases to guess which one. But it’s mighty tasty.
Veritas 21 - Raspberries vanilla and cinnamon. Definitely get the vanilla once it warms up. Cinnamon is more on the nose. Really good, perfect carbonation. Thanks Jeff !!!
