New here, so mods please move this thread if it doesn’t belong on this sub.

I was at a restaurant in Italy and drank a 75 cl bottle of beer labeled “Titanum 10”. It is very difficult to find online but it is a Belgian strong ale. I could not find it on this or any other “large” classification site like this one. I did find it here. It is worth noting that I drank it in a Lupulus brand glass and the listed brewery, Les 3 Forquets, has a website which now redirects to lupulus.be. BeerAdvocate has an entry for lupulus which does not include any “Titanum” brews. I am not sure how to add it to the site or if it is “discontinued”, so I’d appreciate a little guidance on this one.

Lastly, I’m no expert but for what it’s worth I thought it had a great honey taste which went very well with prosciutto.

This is a tough research project and the OP did some good homework but I also using google struggled to find this beer anywhere:

    https://www.keenbeer.com/en-US/beers/titanum-10
So this website above claims the brewer is Les 3 Forquets.

As OP mentioned, Les 3 Forquets directs one to Lupulus.be and nothing showing these beers there in their portfolio

BierSommelier Gilberto Steel is mentioned as the brewer on the website @thesherrybomber mentioned, but again can't find anything on google from my searches.

Quite the Scooby Doo mystery. Would love to see if someone can hop in the Mystery Machine and see if they can figure this out. I'll be waiting at the pizza parlor/malt shop.

We here in the USA are getting very used to finding web presence for just about anything. Small breweries in Belgium may very well have a great product, with little or no web footprint. Ditto for distribution and retail.

Yes, I forgot to mention that was the other site I had found it on. Also according to the 2018-19 version of this magazine (on page 216) the official distributor is GMA import Specialità (gmasrl.it).

Thank you for mentioning this. I re-read https://www.gmasrl.it/it/birra-artigianale-titanum/ and found that they actually credit "master beer sommelier Gilberto Acciaio" as the creator of Titanum.

Here is a somewhat adequately translated article/interview about him:
    https://www.pizzeriagourmet.it/en/gilberto-acciaio-bier-sommelier/
It is mentioned that he is involved with GMA Import, which also owns this food wholesaler.

Here is a shorter description which conveys about the same information but clarifies that he is the beverage manager for GMA Import:
    https://www.accademiaferrarelle.it/gilberto-acciaio/
The site appears to be offering some sort of cooking class.

Here we can see the previous food wholesaler advertising the beer with the same descriptions lifted from the GMA page:
    https://www.pizzeriagourmet.it/birra-artigianale-titanum/

    In summary:
    - Gilberto Acciaio is the beverage manager for GMA Import Export Specialità s.r.l.
    - He created the Titanum brew and distributes it exclusively(?) in Italy through GMA and their food wholesaler, Pizzeria Gourmet.
    - Titanum is actually "produced by a Belgian Master Brewer", who’s location/name is unknown, but I’d bet that it is Lupulus.be

Found in the product description on either site:
    - Titanum 10 (what I drank) features Pilsner malt and two kinds of Slovenian hops: Styrian Golding and Styrian Bobek and is 10% ABV
    - Titanum 8 is a combination of Pilsen and Munich malts with Tomahawk, Saaz, and Citra hops and is 8% ABV
    - Titanum 6 is Pilsen malt with American Moesaic and Simcoe hops and is 6% ABV

I should clarify that GMA is a general food wholesaler in Italy and their other brand, Pizzeria Gourmet, provides only the subset of GMA’s products which are related to pizza as well as some beverages which happen to include Titanum. I think that GMA should be considered a "beer marketing company" in this case and we can safely ignore Pizzeria Gourmet.

That is some good research @thepurotechnic. This sorta has the feel of a mob front thing of some sort. It's too many layers deep and twisted in confusion. Import/export, pizza, wholesaling, Italy...something fishy going on. Or some anonimous homebrew guy in Belgium that has ties to a beer marketing company guy in Italy who promoted his beer. Either way something feels a little off.
