I've had a few of their ales and they're fine. Meh

We have never had a GM. We have a taproom manager who gave her two week notice yesterday to go work at a new brewery opening near Fulton market. One of our cellarman gave his two week notice as well to go to the same brewery.

Maybe they wanted to make beer for honest people....

So @Jplachy, what's the new brewery opening near Fulton Market?

A+. You have the pulse of the beer scene. What's the word behind this place? Is there room for like a 4th or 5th neighborhood brewpub in Fulton?

I legit don’t know anything about this place. As far as whether or not the neighborhood can accommodate it. I dunno. The beer’s gonna have to be A+.

I went there shortly after they opened and it was kinda meh, but since then they seemed to have stepped up their game. Very good food and beer. I've always sat at the bar and service was good. I've only had their beers on draft though, never bought the cans.

I haven't had a beer from them that I enjoyed. For all the shit that Mikerphone gets on here for oxidized beer, nobody brings up the fact that almost every can you open from this place is dark brown. Look at their fucking IG post asking for applicants! It is brown!

I bought one of their IPAs in a mixed six pack and it was a weird consistency and tasted like shit. I never dumped something out so fast. Couldn't even do a second sip.

They all left becuase of the owner: the brewer who created most the recipes for their IPAs, their GM, I think 2 cellarman, a few salespeople, the list goes on but I'mnot sure exactly the extent. Check out their indeed. CONSTANTLY looking for help. He treats his employees like garbage and he's only in craft beer to make money. His other business is a charity donation bin scheme. Not a good guy and it shows in his business practices and in how he treats people.

We Care Recyling owned by Nick Teague.
Short Fuse Brewing Company owned by Nick Teague.

We Care makes millions through shady business practicess in 2016. Short Fuse starts construction in 2016.

Clearly the guy isn't a craft beer guy. Just some guy trying to make a buck and by whatever means possible. Taking advantage of people and craft beer enthusiasts along the way.

1 address, 3 business names. That's not shady or anything. Added "she" to the end of his name to try and trick google search.

It doesn't change the beer or anything. But it sheds light to his integrity and why the business is ran in such a way that they can't maintain people in decision making positions. To me it just doesn't feel like craft beer should.

I mean go back to the first few posts. It's clear this thing was a cash grab from the start. It reeks of Finch 2.0

I don't buy any Short Fuse beer so this is all pretty moot to me. Sorry to anyone who was mistreated by management at Short Fuse. Hope you found a better place to work.

I was there 4-5 weeks ago in a Saturday afternoon for lunch and to try their beers. The place was busy. I enjoyed the food and all but one of the 14 beers that I had on two flights (shared with four people), and the one that I didn't like was a Berliner Weiss brewed with strawberry lemonade and had an unusual aftertaste. The server was kind of a dick, but maybe he was overworked because of the crowd. Overall, it was a good experience.
