    Westbrook Mexican Cake

    Story time!

    I live in a beer wasteland, for the most part. Zero places have anything remotely good on tap (I would be happy with a Sam seasonal). I do 99% of my beer shopping at my "local" pub .... in another state.

    We do have, however, one little shop not far from me that does stock some beer, including craft beer, and they get in Creature Comforts, Scofflaw, and Westbrook (none of which can I get across the border). In addition to sixpacks of Gose, Berliner Weisse, and the occasional fresh IPA, they do actually get a small allotment of special beers - usually one case at a time.

    (This is the same place that was selling CBS 750s for $18.99 a pop. They still have it on shelves, but finally upped the price to around $22, which is still a great price).

    Because there is such little demand for craft beer here, when they do get something like Mexican Cake in stock, it isn't difficult for me to get - and I can get as much of it as I like (well, as much as they have, really). I refuse to buy out all of their stock of any special beer; other beer drinkers deserve the chance to pick some up locally if they can.

    If they still have any left when I get back in a week, though, I'm considering that fair game. :grinning:

    Would love to do a side my side with evil twins real Mexican cake... I think this is westbrook last Mexican cake bottle... Apparently it was always a evil twin brew and they sent a cease and desist to westbrook
