More Brewing Co (2019)

Heard that website is shut down for a few months.

 

Lots of Chaiwala left as of 9ish. Not sure about marbles. Some left for sure. More is really good about updating the website and/or Instagram when cabs sell out.

 

Perhaps but my point is that they may not be representative of most teachers in the area. In any case, it’s like a lot of things: you can afford them based on your other priorities/decisions

 

Back to beer: Banana Marbles was a tough hang. The strawberry bananas Marbles had a richness and creaminess that this one didn’t try for. I liked the recent Strawberry Marbles that I felt was hoppier than other versions, but I didn’t like that in this Banana beer.

 

I am in the same camps though I think I do like this one better than blueberry. That said, I really liked strawberry banana, so it may be that the strawberry balances it out.

 

It's possible they DID try for that richness & creaminess...but maybe a certain former brewer has a better touch with mouthfeel?

Except... They have made a batch of Strawberry Marbles since he left and by all accounts it was as good as previous batches.

 

More's IG story has them canning Hophorescent for a Friday release. Hazy double IPA triple dry-hopped with Citra, Galaxy, Mosaic and Nelson Sauvin hops is the Untapp'd description.

 

Love the hop profile. TDH makes me nervous since I think the batting average isn’t the highest on those. Will hope for the best!

 

Anybody know if they are doing a Father's day event where you need reservations or if they are open normal hours? Figured they would have announced something by now

 

Recently saw a clip of Adam Scott (Parks and Recreation actor) stating that you never need reservations anywhere on Father's Day, the gifts will have been bought with no thought beforehand (they just have to have leather somewhere on them) and under no circumstances will there be breakfast in bed.

Not a father, but I am a son, and I found this hilariously accurate.

Moms rule.

 

there's no reason that that new beer needs to be triple-dry hopped.

 

I had it last night, probably my favorite MoRE IPA to date.

Actually, it sucked. Nobody buy it Friday at open. I'll get there after work and dispose of any 4-packs appropriately.

 

I hear ya, unless the first two dry hops pushed the flavor scale too far one way and the third was used to balance it out. I'm looking at you Nelson grape flavor...

 

Like batch 1 DDH Loose Candies and batch 2 DDH Double Space Boots good, or is it better?

Those beers completely blew me away. Since the transition, their IPA game is still strong, but nothing has wowed me quite like those two.

 

The different batches and names all kind of run together for me, so honestly not sure. I had to look up what this beer was called to put it into BA this morning, and I just had it last night!

I'd say it had quality that the kids would call juicy* these days . Some citrus but the nelson grapey-ness pulled that back in, awesome color, creamy but not chalky, maybe just a bit green but far from being a hop burn.

* - I hate that term, because by definition "juicy" means texture whereas beer people use it do describe flavor. It's not a flavor! But it's to the point where I use it because I think people know what I mean.
