    Good morning BAs

Yesterday was Duvel Day and some of us forgot about it. I’ll try to comply and with @LeperJim approval might suggest to extend this day to the whole weekend.

    So, cheers :

Have a nice Sunday BA. I checked out pretty early last night, so I got a lot of extra sleep. Wasn't feeling up to par for some reason.

Fantastic Russian Imperial Stout. Better than I remember, had to rewrite the whole review recently. Amazing creamy lasting head retention the whole glass from the nitro. Aromas and flavors of big dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, caramel, brown sugar, molasses, toffee, toasted oats, roasted nuts, biscuit, and dark bread; with lighter notes of licorice, raisin, prune, fig, date, smoke, charcoal, tobacco, wood, herbal, grass, pepper, piney hops, and yeast earthiness. Light-moderate pine, herbal, woody, grassy, peppery hop; and roast/charred bitterness on the finish. Light carbonation and fairly full body; with a very creamy, silky, velvety, and rich mouthfeel; light slickness, sticky hops, and chalky char/roast. Lightly increasing lingering hop/char bitter dryness; no cloying, acrid, astringency. Dangerously smooth, minimal warming 10.2%. Amazingly rich and well rounded imperial stout malt complexity, balancing earthy hops, and restrained fruity English yeast character. Will definitely buy another 4 pack.

Incredible NEIPA. Aromas and flavors of big mandarin orange juice, lemon, lime, red grapefruit, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, honeydew melon, guava, blueberry, gooseberry, citrus peel/zest, and light peppercorn/pine hops; with moderate wheat, biscuit dough, light honeyed malts; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness earthiness. Very mild pine, zesty, herbal, floral, grassy bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-plus body; very creamy/bready wheat/oat mouthfeel, with slight sticky hops. Slightly increasing lingering bitter dryness, no cloying/astringency. Minimal warming 7%. Super smooth/soft finish, and refreshing for the style. Spot on Amarillo, Mosaic, Citra profile. Amazingly juicy and lightly dank/earthy hop complexity; perfect wheat/oat/malt balance, not overly sweet/heavy from lingering dryness. Glad this is in distro now. Going to get more of this batch for sure. The previous batch was a bit more bitter/drying than this one.

Outstanding sour witbier. Aromas and flavors of big tart/sour lemon, lime, orange, grapefruit, citrus peel/zest, pineapple, peach, pear, melon, apricot, red/green apple, white grape/wine, coriander, peppercorn, oak, hay, straw, and grass; with moderate wheat, cracker, white bready malts; lighter notes of oaken vanilla, leathery/musty/lacto funk, and yeast earthiness. Light-moderate lactic tart/sourness, Brett tang, and yeast/coriander/oak spiciness on the finish. Medium-plus carbonation, light-medium body, and fairly crisp finishing. Balanced creamy/grainy wheat, lactic acid, Brett tang; some spice stickiness and oak tannins in the mouthfeel. Light-moderate increasing acidic/tangy dryness, no pucker/astringency. Very flavorful/refreshing, not overly lactic, 5.4%. Fantastically well rounded Brett, Bacteria, Witbier yeast complexity, with balanced spices; nice pale/wheat malt backbone against acidity, and overall oak presence. Glad I got the 4 pack, might get another. Looking forward to more in this format from them soon.

Fantastic batch this year. Aromas and flavors of huge raisin, plum, fig, date, peach, pear, apricot, red apple, caramel, brown sugar, toffee, vanilla, bourbon, coconut, toasted oak, biscuit, and brown bread/crust; with light notes of molasses, milk chocolate, cocoa, oak char, leather, tobacco, peppercorn, and yeast earthiness. A bit of booze in the aromas as it warms, but not overwhelming. Light herbal, grassy, peppery hop bitterness; and bourbon/oak tannin spiciness on the finish. Medium carbonation and fairly full body; very creamy, silky, velvety, rich malts; light slickness, sticky hops, and oak tannins in the mouthfeel. Lightly increasing lingering bitter/tannic dryness, no cloying/astringency. Dangerously smooth sipping, mild increasing warmth of 13.1%, minimal lingering barrel booze. Perfect balance of super rich malts, fruity yeast, and bourbon barrel presence/integration. Not overly boozy, tannic, or drying on the barrels. Already grabbed plenty more, a real shelf beer this time around. Super easy to find. English Barleywines are my favorite style.

Insane DIPA as usual. Aromas and flavors of huge red grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, peach, pineapple, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, berries, citrus peel/rind, wood, peppercorn, and pine hops; with moderate honey, biscuit, light caramel/toasted malts; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Good sized pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, floral, woody, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation/body, and fairly crisp finishing. Balanced bready/grainy malt, and sticky/resinous/rindy hops in the mouthfeel. Moderate increasing resin dryness, no hop astringency. Super smooth, not overly aggressive, minimal warming 9%. Amazing classic Chinook, Centennial, Simcoe, Cascade, Citra profile. Extremely juicy, vibrant, dank, and earthy balanced hop complexity; great bready malt backbone, with minimal residual sweetness from lingering crisp resin dryness. Well attenuated for the ABV. One of the best west coast style DIPAs ever made, especially with having no newer hops.
