[IMG] Poured into a 13 oz Snulip glass canned on 5/30/19. Pours a very hazy and attractive yellow with a solid finger plus sticky white head that leaves thick waves of lace behind as it slowly settles. 4.75

Smell is papaya, pineapple, tangerine, blueberry, and a little grapefruit rind. 4.5

Taste follows papaya, guava, blueberry, pineapple, tangerine, and the smallest amount of grapefruit. Really special. 4.75

Mouthfeel is bigger than average, soft gentle carbonation, sticky not dry from the insane amount of hops, and at 8% ABV goes down insanely easy. 4.75

Overall this another Kettlehead NEDIPA with a serious wow factor, this one can hold its own with any NEDIPA on the planet, wow! 4.5

Liège is known for its waffles; how about beer? I purchased this one in a local mall. Not cheap 3,40€ for the 375ml bottle.

Corked, Black label and white lettering.

This 7% Belgian Pale Ale could be considered far better than Leffe, Affligem and Grimbergen but a bit « middle of the road » considering the high quality standards of Belgium.

I haven’t been on this side of the virtual bar in months but after 12-plus hours tending bar on Saturday and a 16-hour shift at my regular job yesterday I’ve earned this one.

This is the newest Sand City stout, a collab with Kane, and it’s delicious. I was a little afraid there’d be some tartness due to the blackberries but it’s really not tart at all. The blackberry and chocolate are in harmony here, I like it. Not as chewy as I would like, but it’s pretty slick on the tongue and very smooth. Later, all. Cheers.

Dogs got me up at 5am...they have been walked and fed...it’s time for a “Malpais Stout” by La Cumbre Brewing Co., Albuquerque, NM:

It’s been a few years since I’ve had a Malpais, and it’s as good as I remember, with lots of roast bitterness and semi sweet dark chocolate goodness. Cheers and have a great Monday!

Current morning standard beer here, another Malpais Stout.
Also had the chance to try out Metric Brewing last night, with my lady, for a third time here in the Springs - found their offerings in a taster flight much better than they were just a year ago...nice to see some serious brewing happening around here. Cheers, have a great...Monday (?).

Next two weeks are three days on, two off, six on, and three off. Plus the kids last week of school started today. Think I need some barrel aged fruit juice for breakfast.

@joe1510 advised I should go for a full druid beard. It's aspirational at this point.
Probably should be some annoying "Beerz & Beardz" thread somewhere here on BA.

Opening the morning festivities with Snappy IPA from Hillsboro Brewing out of Wisconsin.

Very solid old school midwestern IPA with heavy pine and resins, sappy caramel malt, with nice mandarin orange, red grapefruit, and tea notes. Lingers forever. Minimal alcohol warmth. Not my bag but this is something I can respect for sure. 4 out of 5.

Thanks for the mini report on Metric. I went there shortly after they opened was was strongly underwhelmed. I hated to lie to the brewer that I thought his beers were good, but thought maybe they needed some experience to iron out quality issues. Sounds like I need to check them out again.

First time with Daytime from Lagunitas which is no longer « craft », regardless I like it, it’s pretty low-abv but rich enough taste-wise to not be too watery. I like it better than Lagunitas IPA.

Delicious offering from these guys. Big soft, creamy body and tons of tropical flavor. Solid beer, cheers!
