My Franconian dunkel took first place in Boston and two other club members advanced also. Definitely adds an extra level of excitement for me.

Negative, I won't be going. The camaraderie is amazing. Also, club night is a blast, tasting tons of beers, ciders, and meads, that may not only match commercial best, but also sometimes exceed. However, I can have a fun time and taste good beverages almost anywhere. This reason for me to go is information and most of the seminars just aren't technical enough. It's hard to deep dive in an hour and hard to work with varying experience levels. Not saying I wouldn't learn, rather saying I wouldn't learn enough to justify giving up vacation without family.

All booked and ready to go! Staying near federal hill easy walking distance. What are the beer (brewery, bars) and food recommendations in the surrounding area m?

My homebrew club is gearing up for this. So far looks like 20+ kegs from us.

First time attendee here. My club is participating in club night but I was wondering if people are allowed to bring growlers into the conference or events like club night or the knockout party? Based on the club night info it almost appears everything being poured needs an official frog tag label.

Club names? My club will have some in attendance...but we couldn't organize enough to pour.

Home Brewers of Greater Bangor (or if you are like me hee-bee-gee-bees). We might look a little odd as apparently we will have the Bangor crossed out and have Derry there as we are going with a Steven King theme for club night. Basically just look for Pennywise and you will find our group...

Pennywise better have a big balloon grouping too...think I would be Lawnmower man...definitely will seek out as well as @makisupapolice14...

btw, @Granitebeard you guys finally get rid of your snow from the winter...or is that north of Houlton that may still be snow-bound?

Two weeks out...looking forward to it.

Not sure Rachael will have balloons or not, she has one creey costume though. I will have a themed T-Shit on, but just ask the people for Tim if you want to chat.

I know placed up north that had snow a couple of weeks ago but with all the rain lately they say its gone, or so they want us to think. Aroostook Hops had a late start as well.

Hope everyone else in attendance had a great experience!

Got to chat briefly with both @hopfenunmaltz and @Granitebeard. Never got to the Upstate NY Homebrewers Assoc so missed getting to meet @makisupapolice14 and never ran into @VikeMan although guessing I crossed paths and just never realized. @JackHorzempa got me good and buzzed up in the late afternoon tasting of his beers. All were really good! Got to chat with @DrewBeechum who pointed us to a great seafood fry place before heading out of town. Sorry if i missed anyone...

Thought this year's club night featured the strongest line-ups of hb'ed beer that I've experience yet. Had like a 75% hit-rate of solid beers...think it may have been stronger than pro night. Anybody score big at the Competition?

I got to chat a few times with @hopfenunmaltz and found @Granitebeard on club night. His Brown Ale was very nice and one of the better club night samples I had. Did get to the Upstate NY Homebrewers Association booth, but @makisupapolice14 was not there at the time. Also got to chat briefly with @Mabrungard, whom I had never met before. Very nice guy. I was on the lookout for "press" ribbons, but never saw one with @telejunkie's name on it. Bummer.

@VikeMan, I was the tall, goofy-looking one often heckling the hungover vendors on the trade show floor...did you get to try the roasted jalapeno beer that Greater Bangor group was pouring as well? Was also really nicely done.

So was the brown ale the Perfectly Average recipe?

Ha, I must have missed that.

Afraid not. So many beers, so little time.

I'm pretty sure it was not. In fact, I think @Granitebeard used comet hops.

I did see the lodo equipment display. I figured you had something to do with it.
