Bottle Logic Brewing (2019)

They should've called the event WoC instead. Week of Cinnamon

 

We'll pick up our Level Up/Academy of Exploration bottles of the Peach Cobbler Strong Ale. And probably regret not getting more since I've liked every strong ale way more out of bottle than whenever else I've tried it.

The "Reese's" Stout, we're definitely looking at.

 

Never had a BL strong ale I didn’t like - and this one sounds sooooo good

 

I'm fine with the strong ales because I actually enjoy that they brew different BA styles, but I'd be much more excited for this without the addition of cinnamon. The last few Stasis releases with cinnamon have been too harsh for my palate.

 

I give almost equal credit to a brewer/brewing team that can maintain recipes to the same high standards as the original. There are so many excellent beers that don't have the same mojo any more that I'm kind of amazed when someone new can step in and recreate a beer that makes my taste buds happy.

I don't know if those were exactly the circumstances at BL but wishing GL to the next voodoo doctor/magician.

Yummy Peanut Stout.

 

Anybody try the low fill pours of Bastion at BL yesterday?

 

Someone posted elsewhere that it was spot on with the Reese’s/chocolate peanut butter approach but, very thin. Photos looked like it’s thin as well.

 

BL stuff thin? No way lol

 

No surprise on my end, just playing messenger haha. Every once in a while they get something on the board with some chew like Exercise In Lunacy.

 

I got straight raw peanut. Not bad but so much peanut flavor. A bit thin

 

Is the sale messed up ?

Yeah same here. Maybe mhk didn’t know the sales were staggered? Dialects at noon, bastion at 12:15

 

Seems like less people buying this time...Seemed flawless this time.

I passed on both unfortunately. It's time i start clearing out old bl before I buy anymore new beer lol

 

I only got a peach cobbler from a friend that didn’t max. Otherwise I sat it out because I didn’t want to make th drive. Also, I expect the next two sales to be ground/reaction state and then FO.

 

The 1st sale was super easy, like usual. The second sale got hung up more than once because the "insure your purchase" thing took forever to load.

I had everything entered, hit "submit" (or whatever) but nothing happened. Just a spinning wheel. The timer kept counting down. It got all the way to under 1min and then the "insure your purchase" thing finally popped up at the bottom where there had just been a bunch of white space. I made my selection and the sale went through. A bit nerve wracking.
