Traveling up to Rawleys Bay/ Door County area. anyone know of any places with strawberry rhubarb available in that neck of the woods or is it just a crap shoot?

Yup, Summer Sour is on tap. Really hitting the spot on this lovely day. Also, Strawberry Rhubarb on tap.

 

Subtle peach, not a fruit bomb. But it follows in the vein of being very Euro/Lambic-ey...it's delicious. I know fruit fades but maybe down the road out of the cellar before too many years get behind it, more peach will come out as the beer mellows/blends within the bottle. Probably not but...either way it's a very tasty, relatively complex beer and perfect for early summer!

 

Any sign of Kuhler, Hometown Blonde, Mistral or Zwickel in the Depot?

 

I haven’t been to the depot but Kuhler is all over the place in Madison

I know Mistral has been in the depot off and on in the last year or so, but didn't know there were plans to re-brew Hometown Blonde or Zwickel.

 

How was the crowd today? Thinking about stopping tomorrow afternoon and was hoping the r&d bottles would still be available.

 

Do R&D bottles really sell out this fast? Seems like the last few iterations have lasted for weeks but not 100% on that.

 

Even if they did sell out today, it's a two day release. R/D's haven't sold out day of since Wild Peach, someone correct me if I'm wrong. Lately, the beers have been available for months if not years.

Edit: years might be a stretch but you know what I'm getting at.

 

Kuhler was in the Depot; bought myself a 4-pack since I was there. They also had an ample supply (as of 1030am) of SR with a limit of one 4-pack per person.

 

Summer Sour and Kriek were on tap yesterday. A full pour of Kriek was nice and refreshing on a warm day.

Looked like plenty of Summer Sour bottles available along with 4-5 other R&D bottles.

btw, Kuhler is delicious. The description of tasting like tea is spot on.

 

I believe there were 4 R&Ds in the Depot; Gotlandik, Champe Rogue, Vintage 2017 and 25th Anniversary Quad. If there was a 5th, it is escaping my memory at the moment.

Agree on the Kuhler! I bought a 4-pack because I was there and it sounded interesting and it delivered. Will seek out more next time Im at the store.

 

I thought that Kuhler started out tasting just like apple ale, the finish had much more fruit. Maybe 75% apple ale and 25% serendipity? As sweet as any of their fruits. Can confirm the 4 R&Ds in the post above too.
