The hazebros wouldn’t like it, but this is still an incredible beer. Between this and the Crusher, I’m pretty much smashed and it’s not even 6:30.

Not getting any barrel from this one. Interesting mixed 4 pack concept, two each. Very cinnamon forward, very mild pepper in the finish.

Greetings from Seven Mile Beach in Negril. Had some thunderstorms earlier, so I took a nap. It’s Mrs. Marley1’s turn now. Red Stripe with a tequila sunrise chaser.

Finally had to set up another fruit fly trap just like every summer. I hate those bastards.

Excellent Mole porter. Great fluffy head retention/foamy lacing. Aromas and flavors of big milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, cinnamon, chili/chipotle peppers, caramel, brown sugar, vanilla, toasted biscuit and brown bread; with lighter notes of smoke, dark fruit, herbal, grass, and yeast earthiness. Mild herbal, grassy, roasted bitterness; and pepper/cinnamon spiciness on the finish. Medium carbonation/body. Creamy, silky, bready malts; light sticky spice, chalky roast in the mouthfeel. Lightly increasing lingering bitter/spicy dryness. No cloying/astringency. Very smooth/soft, no warmth of 6.3%. Mild increasing pepper heat through the glass, but pretty minimal. Great balance of nicely rich malts, cocoa, cinnamon, pepper, and vanilla flavorings; with mild earthy hops and fruity yeast. Was expecting more spice presence, but is adequate without being overwhelming. Lightly sweet with lingering dryness. No complaints! 4

Good evening BA's, hope everyone survived Tuesday. I have a bunch of corporate "tools" coming up from Orlando tomorrow to tell us how much we need to improve. Post work 12.5 miles of hill repeats complete, beer time.

So glad to have @honkey (Weedy) in AZ, this beer is just perfection. Single hopped and about as perfect as it gets.

    Cheers.

Another fun DIPA from Relic, this time using Eureka! hops.

I guess I've reviewed this before but it was a previous batch which I gave a BA-derived rating of 3.73 to. I feel that may be a little low, as I'm enjoying this more than that rating would have one believe. Looking at my notes from 2017, I liked how it looked but complained of some green onion-y notes in the nose. I can safely say this batch doesn't seem to have those, although Eureka! hops are proclaimed to have similarities to Summit (a hop varietal which typically portrays some chive-like elements), so perhaps that past crop of these hops was markedly-different or my senses are differently-attuned when it comes to this new batch.

I find the finish of this batch to be much more definitive than the previously-reviewed batch was. It seems as though my biggest complaint about the 2017 Dreamrise release was that it just kinda... existed. No definite endpoint when it came to the flavor. This batch is, luckily, more satisfying, and has a nice, creamy citrusy flavor with notes of grapefruit, pomelo, and tangerine alongside dank pine resin and grassy herbaceousness. Much more bitter than it seems I found that 2017 batch to be, as well. I'd say this is worthy of at least a low-4 overall score at this point. Cheers!
