I run 25 miles a week, and tend to omit dairy products from my diet, other than egg. No substantial weight gain.

Do some hot yoga, though, 5 days a week. The aerobic type. You'll be able to down full pizzas, drink as much as you want, and still lose weight.

I gave up food in 2007 and maintain my weight by having two pilsners and an IPA every three hours.

Dude, that doesn't sound healthy at all!

Think of the classic "(No) Food Pyramid ".

You need a dark beer - a stout or porter or a schwarzbier or doppelbock - in there someplace.

What is the difference between hot yoga and yoga? Do you burn more calories?

    Well, sure, I understand.
But that's why Guinness Stout comes in 6 oz. "split" bottles.

They turn the AC off... and then plug in a kerosene heater for the room you're in.

I would get more steps in every day if my fitness band didn't have a minimum of 10 steps before it counts them. I drink left handed and one beer would get me a few more steps. Today I should get a lot more steps in because I'm going over to my son's place to cut up an old dresser with my sawzall. That thing really racks up the steps!

I drink beer every day, but mostly no more than one or two. Even though i hit the gym three times a week i still have fucking beer tits. Training those is easy, yes coming to think of it: time for another set! Cheers!

Lol... beer tits. Same here man. I do pushup workouts (100+ each session, different kinds) 2-3x a week and I eat fairly healthy. I have a sedentary job, unfortunatley, and a few beers a week (previously 5ish a week), and I've got the beer tits, as you call them. Can't get rid of them, even with strenuous chest exercises. SUCKS.

I had “beer tits” that were probably more age related and too many calories from all sources. At 53 I changed my diet and hit the gym like a fiend (2x per day 5 or 6 days/week). It took a year plus of hard work and very low carb diet but I firmed it all up. Now at 58 the chest is still firm, the diet still restrictive, and still at the gym daily (High Intensity Interval Training) cardio/weights. I do have 2 to 4 beers per week and seasonably 6 to 8 (we’re at our lake place each weekend June to September and I get thirsty). So far I’ve kept the shape but it takes a ton of work at my age. A trainer told me that 90% of the highly toned body happens in the kitchen, 10% from the gym. Good luck!

My doc said basically calories are calories regardless of where they come from. I’ve lost a few pounds but frankly am not willing (yet) to give up my life style. To me, beer is one of life’s pleasures and I’d rather give up a few calories and carbs somewhere else than stop drinking. To my credit (?), I have started drinking some of the low cal/low carb shit. That said, I know I should lose about 20 lbs or so. Maybe I’ll get more motivated (without having the heart attack!). My younger bro had a triple bypass about 3 weeks ago, so Mama said I’m getting the full work up. Can’t say no to that.

Oh man - preach it! Before I started bringing in my lunch to work I would get questions of others on their way to the cafeteria. Looking at my plate they'd say "okay broccoli... what is that a pork chop?" And I'd have to tell them it was a sweet potato and it was either meat or beer and I wouldn't give up the latter haha!

I've since started cycling to work a couple days a week to get the meat back!

My wife and I have recently cut sugar and flour from our diet for the most part. Fruits, vegetables, protein and a few grains. I've had 3-4 beers per week for the last 4 weeks and have lost 17 pounds.

If you are twice a day in the gym, how the hell can that be only 10% of your shape?? Sounds to me your trainer is pulling your leg.

I can believe it - bad nutritional decisions tend to get amplified the more you work out (more working out generally speaking leads to more eating).

Beer tits = your estrogen/testosterone levels are fucked. Need more T and less E.
