Just wondering if anyone else get enough these,I wake up feeling great and after a few hours I’m feeling a bit crappy, it’s slow creep too. It’s not a terrible hangover just enough to make you feel like shit for half a day. Seems strange to go from feeling great to shitty in a few hours.

Has happened to me a lot in the past. Fine for like an hour after waking up then goes downhill fast. Usually the combo of bad food, a little too much beer and lack of sleep seem to be the concoction. Mine isn’t a slow creep, it hits me like a ton of brinks, cold sweats, Nausea and extreme exhaustion out of no where. Takes a few hours then it passes.

You know the drill - the only way to prevent a hangover is to drink again.

Seriously though was it just a bad night of sleep? I ain’t getting any hangover with BEER.

No I only had 4 beers all of yesterday and two were before dinner at the pool. I had 3-4 gin and tonics after a decent dinner of pasta too. Enough for a buzz but shouldn’t have been enough to carry over a good nights sleep too.I've drank more with no symptoms at all. It’s almost 3 now and it’s clearing. Might have been the coffee this morning too, sometimes the acid causes problems.

I’m pretty good on the hangovers too, I’ve had a few 2 day ones, but that usually entails tequila or whiskey, and I’m sick before bed with the spins. That wasn’t enough to give me a hangover to any degree, I stopped well before bed too.

It takes far less to result in a hangover for me. FWIW I’ve never encountered the situation you have described.

How old are you? Maybe you're defining a new way for when you hit that dreaded spot of being over the hill.

Dale, how much water (or equivalent) did you drink yesterday? The symptoms of hangover (delayed or otherwise) are often due to dehydration.

I have heard friends tell me that sports drinks (e.g., Gatorade) are even 'better' than plain water for assuaging a hangover the next day after drinking.

    Cheers!

I’m 63, and I have defiled myself in many different ways, but last night wasn’t one of those. I get these every now and then, but I haven’t had a true hangover in over 20 years, I hate them with a passion. I was up at 9 or so and by 11 or so it started to creep in, we got home from shopping at about 1 and I was feeling a bit peaked. I took a Zofran and it’s 3 now and I feel great. Don’t know, it’s why I asked, eating early seems to make it worse sometimes too.

No water at all come to think of it or juice of any kind.

Now you know the 'answer' to your Sunday woes.

    Drink up (water that is)!!

    Cheers!

P.S. Or better yet have an IV of saline if you have it.

Sounds entirely reasonable, I’ll have to remember that tonic water doesn’t count. But you might be right, never though about being dehydrated.

One of the rules of thumb for attending beer festivals is one 'equivalent' water for every beer you consume. I personally never achieve this specific ratio but I do make it a point to take several 'water breaks' during the event.

Let me tell to about the time I attended Belgium Comes to Cooperstown beer festival. At the end of the event I drank 3 bottles of water afterwards and I did not even come close to feeling like I needed to pee. I did a very bad job drinking water during the actual event that day.:grimacing:

    Cheers!

Come to think of it I didn’t get to go to the bathroom at all, I don’t always get up, but it’s not unusual to get up once during the night especially after having a few beers or drinks. It was hot yesterday at the pool too, I brought water just didn’t drink it.
