Some mondays at work are like this.

Booze sunday until 12am then wake up at 5:30 for 7am work. For me, a delayed hangover will hit me somewhere between 7:45 and 9:30.

Anyone else had 6-9 hours of sober sleep and wake up feeling tired? But have 2-4 beers the night before with 6 hours of sleep and wake up feeling perfect? It's strange but a couple of beers makes me feel more refreshed the next morning. Too many and it's a terrible start to a day.

Absolutely. It’s because you are still drunk when you wake up. That means you were doing it right.

Lol, no I wasn't drunk at all, I’ve been buzzed, I’ve been hammered, I’ve been falling down drunk. But that wasn’t last night those beers and gin and tonics were spaced for over 10 hours with pasta for dinner. I wasn’t remotely buzzed when I woke up, I had a bit of coffee and just started feeling lousy out of the blue. I spent four years in the Marines, I know drunk and over indulgence.

I’ve definitely woke up as drunk and drunker than when I crashed and paid for it later in the day without some hair of the dog, but never what you are describing to my recollection. Other than dehydration that catches up with you later maybe??

I’m guessing the pool and being in the heat was a factor, I never thought of dehydration, but I had nothing to drink yesterday that wasn’t alcohol except the tonic water. I should have drank some water, especially before bed.

    Is this another "blaming-everything-but-the-alcohol-for-causing-a-hangover" thread?

    No. You're just old.

(coming from a guy who stayed up til 5am today, drinking Costco "scotch" with his landlady. Woke up at 2pm feeling every bit of it. Ugh.)

The "purple" Vitamin Water is the best thing I've ever had for a hangover. It's loaded with BVitamins, I think its actual name is Fruit Punch. Get you some.

My personal favorite is a bottle of water followed by about half a jug of V8. Best thing I've found to get you back to life. Of course the V8 will make you shit your brains out in a few hours but that's part of the healing.

You are 63 years old and you talk/complain about a delayed hangover? C'mon man - and I'm not much younger than you. It's what it is, the part of the game, especially with beer. Still, the delayed part makes me think it might point to some heath condition not necessarily related but triggered by alcohol.

I had this happen this morning after one beer last night. Meanwhile I can go beast mode for GABF with no issues. Odd.

Yeah but the reward is feeling good again. A few minutes of nasty juice to ward off hours of feeling like dieing. Seems like a fair trade to me.

Try 24-32 hours after. Then Intense insomnia for another 24. Then maybe get to sleep on the third day after.

Can take till Thursday sometimes to get back to normal.

Purple Vitamin Water. All the positives, none of the nasty, shitty, terrible aspects of tomato juice.

Those hangovers are the ones where one can't drink water and just vomits or lays down for a few hours. Insomnia? Said the guy posting at 3am.

The taste is the only hurdle. Your purple Powerade is childish compared to V8.
