    Yep, another one chiming in on the hefe being spot on. I've had two 12vers already and both were great.

    I thought the same thing, very broad category. I wonder how many and what beers were entered. The Beaver Island Maibock cans I had were well carbonated. I thought it was good, but I don't think it was the best maibock brewed in MN this year.

    It’s too bad Schell got rid of Maifest, but there are some good alternatives nowadays. I did get the last Summit Maibock at my local, about a minute after @edbeered bought the next to last one, in fact. :wink:

    Town Hall being old school has their Maibock on currently...in the month of May believe it or not.

    I don't remember if it's always been 7% ABV, but it is this year. It reminds me a lot of what Summit Maibock used to be which isn't a bad thing.

    I need to amend this. The first 12 pack was awful but who knows why? Maybe it got real hot at the distributor and that affected it but all 12 were off. Don't know. I haven't seen it in my neck of the woods since then or ever really but recently found it again while out of town. Bought another 12 of cans and this time it is spot on. Excellent. Just drank the first two cans and both were at the level I have touted for many years.
