Today is Midsummer’s Eve, one of the main holidays in Sweden. I have a five day weekend starting today, getting the ball rolling with The Bowl, from 2016, watching Dogma.

Good day BAs! Yet another damp morning - rained yesterday, rained over night, and it'll rain later today. May take a drive up to the brewery of today's New Breakfast Beer - it's only 50 or sixty miles up the road.

It's pretty weak to be called a "Baltic Porter" but it is a decent "American Porter" - almost sessionable and cheap.

I think I prefer Breakfast Stout with some age, it was great! Now for beer #2, Disco Danke by Brewski. This is an imperial Berliner Weiße with mangoes and passionfruit.

SN IPA Hop Hunter can’t go wrong when temps are above the 80F.

That’s nothing btw, the summer is brutally hitting us and will continue to next week with temps up the roof at 107F next Thursday...

The beer is flowing way too fast right now. Number three comes from Michigan, in support of my Red Wings in tonight’s NHL Draft. Come on, Bowen Byram...

Having the shakes from too little beer is no good! Better open another one...

It’s about 7:30am PST here on the left coast. The dog has been walked and Dog, Cats, Fish have been fed and medicated...coffee time! Lagunitas’ Willetized Coffee Stout:

Bourbon coffee oak semi sweet malt base; chalky feel dry rye finish. A bit thin and coffee is barely present, but at $5.49 for a 22oz bomber from the grocery store, I’m all in!

No drinking yesterday...instead we rode the BART into San Francisco, wandered around, took a Bay cruise and saw Alcatraz:

Then rode vintage trolley cars back from the piers to downtown to visit the SF MOMA. Nice Warhol special exhibit, and an impressive collection of Lichtenstein, including his nudes series:

And several of his early works, woodcuts and sculpture...more in one place than I have seen collectively in many...The Modern Art also displayed a Jackson Pollock, a favorite artist of mine (Mrs. Z, not so much):

Have a great day, and may artwork find its way into your glass today!

Having a Löwenbräu Premium Pils, a liter of it in fact. It is weekend after all

In the background an example of socialist architecture from years ago. Looks like public housing, but in fact these used to be apartments for the higher bureaucrats in the time of the DDR (in fact Soviet occupation of East Germany).

Beer in East Berlin used to be even much cheaper in those days.

    Prosit from Berlin!

[IMG] Tilton Express a NEAPA brewed in celebration of a 150 years of the town Kettlehead is in.

Poured on tap at the source. Pours a very attractive hazy orange yellow with a finger plus sticky white head that leaves thin lines of lace with nice retention. 4.25

Smell apricot, pineapple, melon, and some tangerine. 4

Taste follows but bigger pineapple, melon, tangerine, and apricot very little bitterness, but loaded with flavor for only 6% ABV. 4.25

Mouthfeel is bigger than most at this ABV, soft gentle carbonation, a tad sticky but not dry, and drinks more like 7%. 4.25

Overall another excellent beer from these guys, rather sessionable but loaded with flavor. 4
