Have a nice Sunday BA. Might be doing some work at home today, I have a couple projects to finish up for tomorrow.

Fantastic batch this year. Aromas and flavors of huge raisin, plum, fig, date, peach, pear, apricot, red apple, caramel, brown sugar, toffee, vanilla, bourbon, coconut, toasted oak, biscuit, and brown bread/crust; with light notes of molasses, milk chocolate, cocoa, oak char, leather, tobacco, peppercorn, and yeast earthiness. A bit of booze in the aromas as it warms, but not overwhelming. Light herbal, grassy, peppery hop bitterness; and bourbon/oak tannin spiciness on the finish. Medium carbonation and fairly full body; very creamy, silky, velvety, rich malts; light slickness, sticky hops, and oak tannins in the mouthfeel. Lightly increasing lingering bitter/tannic dryness, no cloying/astringency. Dangerously smooth sipping, mild increasing warmth of 13.1%, minimal lingering barrel booze. Perfect balance of super rich malts, fruity yeast, and bourbon barrel presence/integration. Not overly boozy, tannic, or drying on the barrels. Already grabbed plenty more, a real shelf beer this time around. Super easy to find. English Barleywines are my favorite style.

Amazing DIPA. Aromas and flavors of huge red grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, peach, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, guava, berries, citrus peel/rind, wood, light peppercorn, and pine hops; with moderate honey, cracker, white bread dough malts; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Slight booze in the aromas as it warms. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, floral, woody, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-full body; balanced creamy/bready/grainy malts, sticky hops, and some resins/rinds in the mouthfeel. Light-moderate increasing lingering bitter dryness, no hop astringency. Dangerously smooth, not aggressive, mild increasing warmth of 10%. Feels like Simcoe, Citra, Amarillo, and Columbus. Very juicy, vibrant, and fairly dank/earthy hop complexity; with a nice balancing bready malt backbone. Mild residual sweetness with lingering resin dryness, very well attenuated for the ABV. Will always grab this when I see it, same with Bodhi.

Insane DIPA as usual. Aromas and flavors of huge red grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, peach, pineapple, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, berries, citrus peel/rind, wood, peppercorn, and pine hops; with moderate honey, biscuit, light caramel/toasted malts; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Good sized pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, floral, woody, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation/body, and fairly crisp finishing. Balanced bready/grainy malt, and sticky/resinous/rindy hops in the mouthfeel. Moderate increasing resin dryness, no hop astringency. Super smooth, not overly aggressive, minimal warming 9%. Amazing classic Chinook, Centennial, Simcoe, Cascade, Citra profile. Extremely juicy, vibrant, dank, and earthy balanced hop complexity; great bready malt backbone, with minimal residual sweetness from lingering crisp resin dryness. Well attenuated for the ABV. One of the best west coast style DIPAs ever made, especially with having no newer hops.

Today is my 42nd birthday! It is a bittersweet occasion, as my wife and I filed for divorce this week. We have an amicable plan in place, and we will split custody of our two young children 50/50. There will be a lot of changes for me in the coming year, and my relationship with craft beer will change a bit. I want to have a nice-looking physique, so I will have to cut down on alcohol use in general. There are definite silver-linings to this situation. I will have more freedom to make plans, and do things for myself. I am excited about taking a lot more road trips to breweries, and meeting a lot more BAs in person! Here are some songs I usually listen to on my birthday, the first two of which are from artists born in 1977, with Jason Mraz being born on the same day as me. Additionally, there is a song from Danzig, since today is also Glenn's birthday.

New Local Helles. This was awesome. Fantastic fluffy head retention/spotty soapy lacing. Crystal clarity. Aromas and flavors of big cracker, white bread dough, toasted biscuit, light nutty malts; with moderate herbal, floral, woody, grassy, peppery hops. Light-moderate herbal, floral, woody, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation, light-medium body, and moderately crisp/clean finishing. Balanced bready/grainy malts and sticky hops in the mouthfeel. Slight lingering resins. Moderate increasing bitter dryness, no hop astringency. Perfectly clean lager flavors, no fruity/yeasty notes. Very flavorful/refreshing, not aggressive, not watery for 5.5%. Awesome clean Pils/Munich malt showcase, with perfectly balanced Noble hop presence. Minimal residual sweetness with crisp dryness. Loved it as expected. Spot on style. Already grabbed another 4 pack. Great Summer brew.

Hoof Hearted NEDIPA. This was fantastic. Opaquely hazy green color; lasting rocky head retention/thick foamy lacing. Aromas and flavors of huge tangerine, orange juice, red grapefruit, lemon, lime, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, honeydew, watermelon, berries, citrus peel/zest, wood, and light peppercorn/pine hops; with moderate wheat, cracker, biscuit dough malts; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Light pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, floral, woody, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-plus body; very creamy/bready/grainy malts, some sticky hops, and light lingering resins/rinds in the mouthfeel. Lightly increasing bitter dryness, no hop astringency. Very smooth/soft, minimal warmth of 8%. Amazing Galaxy, El Dorado profile. Extremely juicy, vibrant, and fairly dank/earthy hop complexity; with a great balanced wheat/oat/malt backbone. Light residual sweetness with lingering bitter dryness. Another spot on brew as usual. Glad I got the pack. Would get another.

Incredible NEIPA. Lasting rocky head retention/thick foamy lacing. Aromas and flavors of huge mandarin orange juice, red grapefruit, lemon, lime, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, honeydew melon, berries, citrus peel/zest, and light pepper/pine hops; with moderate wheat, biscuit dough, light honeyed malts; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Mild pine, citrus peel/zest, herbal, floral, grassy, spicy bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-plus body; very creamy/silky/bready malts, and light sticky hops in the mouthfeel. Lightly increasing lingering bitter dryness, no cloying/astringency. Insanely smooth/soft, minimal warming 6.7%. Feels like Galaxy, Mosaic, Citra. Super juicy and lightly dank/earthy hops; with a perfectly balanced wheat/oat/malt backbone. Light residual sweetness with lingering dryness. I feel like there is overall rating bias here because of the brewery. They nailed it. Would buy a 6 pack. It is year round after all.

Another everything-bagel bomb of an IPA here in this Soulcraft IPA.
Additionally, good luck and best to @GreenBayBA on the next stage of life, and also happy to report that I finally got to try Half Acre's new IPA, Bodem, last night at my taproom. Delicious.
Now, on to a productive (ha!) Sunday...
