Eh not really, I tried doing sprouts for a while to see but I'm god awful at paying attention to that kind of thing and ended up sick of weird moldy sprout jars on my window sill. My friend that brought it to my attention swears by it and it also led us to some speculation about the spices heavy use in certain parts of the Mediterranean and those same places notoriously mustachioed women

As someone who has struggled with man boobs their entire life I've found the only way to mitigate it is with weight loss and not bulking up your chest.

As far as increasing your testosterone, doing this through pills is definitely not the way to go. If you can somehow naturally raise T more power to you but no one should ever mess with the hormones in their body , can lead to cancer

Yes. I have GERD and drinking even one beer on the wrong day, regardless of ABV, can bloat me terribly. But no surprise here as you have the perfect cocktail with carbonation, yeast...

Got a reliable source cite for that? One would think that it would have been big news within the industry with the major US can manufacturers like Ball and Crown Cork making PR announcements about it.

Cardio seems like a good a idea. I increased it from only warming up before my power training thrice a week, to two extra days an hour each sweating good. After a few weeks/months i will post my results.

I've dropped 16 pounds this June. I teach so I have summers free to be healthier. Every lunch for 2 weeks was a salad. Cut out sweets/desserts. Played a lot of disc golf. And reduced beer consumption a little. Then I spent 2 weeks in the Tetons hiking and supervising kids. So there were no weekday beers, plus a lot of hiking. Ultimately, weigh loss is simple: burn more calories than you consume.

This is why biking has been the answer for me. Once I'm on the bike, I can happily ride for hours. That's a lot of burning. Meanwhile, there's nobody to answer to while I'm grinding my way through the hills of the Finger Lakes.

I’ve been blessed with my mom’s ridiculously fast metabolism, but still like to be active knowing that beer, as much as I love it, is empty calories.

In the last few months, I started doing Orange Theory. Not sure if any of you have these facilities by you, but it’s an hour-long fitness class that kicks your ass, but does it at your own pace. Running and rowing mixed in with some weight training. You burn upwards of 1,000 calories per class. Twice a week is my schedule and I can’t recommend it enough.

I also can’t give up beer. However, my love for it has given me a much more health-conscious attitude where I try to eat healthy and exercise regularly to keep everything balanced. Keeps me in check.

Keep it up. By your avatar pic you appear to be a young(er) guy. Greatest mistake I made was to let it all go and stop working out when I was 33, married, first mortgage, first child, and first big promotion. It wasn’t until 20 years later when the kids were all in college and was thinking more about retirement than another promotion, that I realized I needed to make a change or I might not make it another 20 years. If you make it (diet and exercise) a lifestyle you can sensibly drink, eat and enjoy more great things in life. As far as Orange Theory I’ve heard it’s a great program. How many calories each individual burns probably varies widely but as I understand it Orange Theory focuses on core strength/stability, flexibility, cardio, and strength training in a nice neat package. A perfect recipe for longevity.

When I changed my diet to a whole foods, plant-based diet in 2011, I dropped 30+ pounds before realizing that last 10 pounds was all the "light" beer I was drinking. Stopped for about 30 days and those last 10 pounds came right off.

Now a few years old, I've got back to the gym for some strength training and have been running in preparation for a 50 mile race next April, but I am really struggling to kick start the weight loss. Thought a 48 hour fast would help, which it did, would think much was water weight but those pounds came right back.

I have no doubt the loss will come, just need to tweak the eating habits and stick to the intermittent fasting (IF) schedule and I am confident gains (well losses) will come.

I tried cardio but gave it up quite quick. My knees didn't like it and neither did it. But since i am starting to like Belgium beers more then the German onces, my intake of alcohol has decreased. Even though Belgium beers are stronger, i drink much less of them so at the end of the day my intake decreased. So, i don't have to do cardio and can stick to power training only.
