I am sitting in my backyard drinking 3 Fonteinen Framboos a raspberry Lambik imported from Belgium, ABV 5.30%. It is hot and humid, but I am enjoying this truly delicious and thirst quenching Lambik so it is all good. The taste is raspberry, sweet and tart raspberry, maybe some lemon, but it is not too tart, just perfectly right, and a tad of yeast and oak and grass just to make it perfect. It is a delicious Lambik. It leaves a long lasting flavor of tart raspberry which is very delightful. I let my wife, my daughter and my dog taste a little bit and they all loved it.

Ahh, good morning all. Shopping finished and lunch preparation begins. Gotta keep hydrated while working in the kitchen . . .

Attractive clear gold color with creamy white cap and lacing.

Pleasant grain scent with some light melon notes.

Flavor is straight forward AAL in it's approach. I don't know what makes up the grain recipe in this brew but it really reminds me of PBR in taste, feel and finish. Flavor leans toward the fuller bodied style and the beer is better for that, I also notice some richer malty elements as the beer warms up a bit.

Medium full texture with balancing carbonation.

Tourist beer is the phrase that comes to mind which is to say one of those things that tastes best on it's home turf.

I made the mistake of telling my wife I’d install a storm door on the back of the house for her birthday. I think I may have been drinking at the time, regretting it now. Anyway, lunch is a sausage dog with peppers & onions and it’s good.

[IMG] Poured into a 16 oz Breakaway can shaped pint glass, canned on 6/10/19. Pours a slightly cloudy yellow with a half finger sticky white head that leaves thin spotty patches of lace, with solid retention. 4.25

Smell mango, melon, pineapple, and maybe a little hint of lemon rind. 4

Taste follows very well balanced and tropical with very little if any bitterness. Mango, pineapple, lemon, and some ripe honey dew melon in the balanced finish. 4

Mouthfeel is about medium, plenty of carbonation a tad dry in the finish, and at 5.6% plenty of flavor and crazy drinkable, a nice lawn mower beer for the craft beer enthusiast who want to drink several on a hot day. 4

Overall a very nice APA, that shows signs of being New England style, without all the haze. 4
