    Is it reasonable?

Of course! The vast majority of beer consumed nationwide is not on tap at a brewery. It's packaged, bottled, canned, on tap elsewhere, etc. This is the beer you are getting, and this is the beer the brewer is presenting to you, the consumer and purchaser of their product.

Now, is it worth noting those subtle differences in your review? Sure! Similarly, if you're reviewing a 75 day old can of a Citra dry-hopped IPA, it may be within freshness, but it's simply not going to taste the same as that exact same beer canned 14 days ago. It's worth noting in your review - but it's also perfectly reasonable to review that beer, as it should be well within freshness guidelines.

I will note age, packaging, draught, etc., if I feel anything may be detrimental to the experience - and if I later have the occasion for a better experience, and I feel it warrants revisiting the review, I may indeed do so (but I don't make a habit of it, as revisiting your reviews is a tricky road). That's pretty rare, but it has happened.

Regardless, if the brewer managed to get their product delivered to me under satisfactory conditions (age, storage, temperature, etc.), then it is 100% reasonable to review that beer and expect it to be representative, at the very least, of the brewer's skill and intent.

The head brewer at one of the Casper breweries does a lot of the line cleanings at the 3 breweries and bars in Casper and the ones in Glenrock and Douglas.

He is Skull Tree. He went through the process for another Casper brewery, Gruner Brothers, and they decided not to do it themselves. Hearing that didn't impressive me. Like their beers don't impress me.

I don't know how many times I've been wowed by a beer on tap at the brewery and then been disappointed with the cans I brought home. I don't know why there should be such a significant difference between the draught and the canned versions but there is.

Also, as much as I've fought the notion, the glassware it's served in affects not just the appearance but every other aspect of the beer as well. An IPA in an IPA glass can be a totally different beer than one in a nonic. I denied it for years but I've finally learned to accept it, even if I can't understand it.

In the end, all I can do is review the beer I actually have in my hand. And, since I don't bring my iPad to the brewery, that's almost always going to be from a can, poured into whatever glass was clean when I opened it. I rely on the Law of Large Numbers to smooth out everybody's rating quirks.
