Even though it's not their usual wheelhouse I thought this was fantastic last year. Very much looking forward to grabbing some.

And on a different front, I was hoping to see their canned variety packs showing up a lot more than they have. Even the bottled ones have been scarcer than I recall. Have I just had bad luck or have others noticed the same thing?

I recall their single IPL actually being quite good. And I'm not really a big IPL guy.

Pemberton Farms has all things Jack's Abby. I was there yesterday to pick up some Maibock Hurts Like Helles because they were one of the few stores near me that carried it.

They also had the Helles, Kolsch, and variety pack in cans.

Off topic, they also had 12 packs of Summerfest cans, which I don't see many places either.

I've been looking for the mix can pack as well, no luck.

As with most other stuff @ package stores, been seeing a lot of dated product - which is a shame because it's (mostly) lager season for me.

Thanks! Pemberton is just annoying enough of a drive that it's not one of my default stops. Will make a point now. I'm assuming you were meaning to say that you went there to get some Jack's Abby but also noticed they had a lot of Von Trapp, right?

Oh haha, yeah. They had the VON TRAPP Helles, Kolsch and variety packs in cans.

Still in a haze from the long weekend.

Jack's Abby Sunny Ridge/Maibock Hurts Like Helles are fresh.

Also Summerfest is out, Proclamation has a new Pilsner called Flummox, Schilling has a new Kolsch I believe, and even Einbecker's Maibock in cans were only canned in February, which isn't too shabby for an import.

Notch's Fodderstomf and their Voll Projekt Helles Spezial/Loggerhead should also be kicking around still.

Plenty of fresh lager out there right now, good times!

    @AlcahueteJ

Mission accomplished, thank you. And when did Pemberton move those random, claustrophobic stacks of beer into that fancy new liquor section? Pretty sweet!

I picked it up in a TW for $10 the other day. It's pretty good!

I'd say I would prefer it in, like, November. But we've had plenty of shit weather days these last few weeks for a dark lager to hit the spot.

No problem man! Glad I could help.

I think they upgraded that sometime last year?

Yup Summerfest is a given, already had plenty & will continue. Been looking everywhere for JA Helles with no luck, not a fan of Sunny Ridge however .

Zero luck in any of the Notch goodies but always plenty of out of code Pils & seasonals past (god forbid, ya know the current one).

Just to let you know my regular shops: Wegmans, Redstone, Liquor Junction, Total Wine , Georgio’s, Lincoln Liquors. But plenty of 4-5+ month old 4x4 IPA pounders from breweries I’ve never heard of for $16.99. What a time to be a beer fan.

JA has a beer finder, that's how I tracked down the Maibock.

You should be able to find everything I mentioned at the very least at Redstone and Total Wine, and most likely Wegmans too.

I assume you're on Redstone's Twitter feed? If not, I would get on that, they tend to get everything, and they get it before my stores in Somerville do.

I guess time flies when you're avoiding Mass Ave. I hadn't realized it had been that long since I'd been there.

With the upgrade I'll probably grip my steering wheel and bear it more often now.

The only drawback is they're still expensive.

    Really? I hadn't noticed :sunglasses:

The four pack game is indeed pretty rough there, but the twelve packs aren't so bad at least.

I'll be up there next month, also in November. Nothing like putting back a few at their beer hall.
