Stormzy is the first black singer and the second youngest solo artist to headline an evening of the Glastonbury music festival. The youngest? A guy named David Bowie, back in 1971 when he was 24.

I got up and ran the high school reunion 5K this morning

50+ age group podium, still got it, baby!
Sitting on the porch drinking a Tropicália.
This part of the country is known for train wrecks and John Henry.

 

I've split that the last couple times I opened a bomber. Not only is it high abv, but it's very rich. I really love it, but it's a beast.

 

Pool chores completed, time for a little coffee.

I haven’t been drinking a lot of hoppy beer lately because too many brewers are trying to sell rushed mediocre home brew in a 16 ounce can at a premium. Love that 3F is doing more 12 ounce bottles now.

This is like a cross between a session IPA and a pale ale. Excellent use of hops at a lower ABV. I picked up a couple 4 packs of Juju as well. Cheers all!

 

This is a great pale, awesome flavor and feel for such a low ABV. Bout to get started on some yard chores. A great name as wel!

 

Little refreshment while watching Gangs of New York before watching the gang from New York play the good guys in London.

Actually reminds me of Dragons Milk.
Except more barrel and bigger hints of coconut and vanilla. Body is pretty much identical. Along with the after taste.

Not really hitting the spot. Just missing all the right notes for me.

Distinctive light gold color with white cap and lacing.

Mild scent of rich yet dryish malt with floral, spicy hops.

Taste upfront is about equal hop sharpness with rich malt yet that same sense of dryness. Curious about that I looked up the website to find there is rye malt in the mix. Ah, that explains things, rich malt with a spicy rye kick. In this brew the combination works with the diverse grain flavors blending well together and just enough firm hop kick to keep things in balance. Simple flavors in harmony, clean all the way to the finish with a bit of hop firmness at the end that concludes things nicely.

Medium texture with balancing carbonation.

This is a solid stab at the classic Pilsner style. A somewhat unconventional approach in the grain bill that results in a beer that is more balanced than the approach some brewers take when they add American hops resulting in more of an IPL than a Pilsner.

 

That session beer went down quick. This is outstanding again...

Canned 6/17/19. I start nightshifts tonight, so maybe one more before a nap. Cheers all!
