    Thanks @Tifore

    Pours light red slightly clear
    Smells light and malty
Drinks super light with sweet malt back to it
Almost no head and little retention of it

    Just a nice light lager
    3.5/5

    Cheers NBS

I think I will end tonight with New Glarus Brewing Strawberry Rhubarb.

It reminds me of champagne. Light and bubbly. It does pack the flavors of strawberry and rhubarb very well. It is just an easy drinking beer to end the day.

I do have one more new New Glarus beer, but I think I will save it for another time.

See you all on the next new beer Sunday.

My last new beer is Tap 4 Wiesen Edel-Weisse from Schneider Weisse. Poured from just under fridge temp into Schneider Weisse glass. Pours a nice clear yellow with considerable white head. Nose is orange, wheat, bread, earth, raspberry, and peach. Taste is outstanding, and very unique. Slightly sweet candy, with a touch of toffee. Definitely a nice layer of fruity flavors - apricot, peach, subtle strawberry, and orange. Some wheat/grass, but it's not prominent. Mouthfeel is right where it should be - fruity and light. Overall, this is an outstanding version of the style and I will definitely seek out more.

Parish Maple Shade BBA Coffee Mappe Imoerial Stout.

    Hand made opener from @smanson56

Awesome beer. Coffee is the lightest touch of charred and body is light enough to not be bourbon maple syrup in a bottle.

    Parish crushes it again.

Late entry for me, I had opened Great Lakes’ BA oyster stout this morning only to realize I’d had it before. Here’s a new one, and surprisingly good (or not surprising given the producer) at that
    [IMG]
500ml bottle poured into a tulip
A: Hazy dark yellow, 1.5 finger head
    S: Brett, tangerine, mango
T: Brett, lemongrass, lemon, herbs, white wine, floral, a hint of tropical fruit
    M: Medium-bodied, fairly dry, a balanced funk
O: This is a really nice Belgian ale: complex, a touch funky but balanced. I’d love to find more & also try it with a bit more age

NBSx2. Well... finished the 9 mile bike ride with some unexpected awesomeness. Great community event and glad to be part of the 50th Anniversary.

Time honored traditions are special, and one time honored tradition that I love is sharing beers with my fellow relocater, @JayORear , who sent me this on our most recent friendly exchange.

    Grimm
    Talk Talk
    - Double IPA

Prelude: I still suck at rating the appearance of these styles. When I have an IPA or a DIPA and know it's in the classic vein, I love clarity, a bold foam that plasters, and a light copper tint to it. As far as the hazy style, I think the foam holds the same value, and the color and clarity are like anything else a matter of preference.

    From a 16 oz can dated 5/6/19...

Talk Talk has that impressive off white root beer float foam that leaves ample spots of lacing. The smooth mass of opaque yellow with a touch of cardboard brown is what I imagine as near-picturesque for the style. (4.0)

This actually smells much like a classic DIPA to me. Grapefruit pith and pine, but there is a unique neoprene/ burnt rubber aroma. If I could describe it simply, I'd say "raw sap", for whatever that's worth. (4.0)

I find this very interesting and quite difficult to describe. It's very earthy in general. But more like fruit skins fresh off the farm. Lemon and orange peels, unwashed and over a bed of dried evergreen needles. However, there is a well hidden sweet vanilla like thing going on deep in the background. (4.0)

Despite what its looks could imply, this is quite crisp feeling. Sharp with balance before an intense bitterness and dryness take over. Light chalk and acidity. Easy to drink, but does leave a lip smacking dirtiness. (4.0)

I'm giving 4's across the board here. Intensely bitter yet easy to drink, but lacks a punch in flavor and aroma. (4.0)

After my official review, I gave Talk Talk a rating of 4.0 with an rDev of -6.5%.

    Cheers.

    375 ml. bottle.
    Brewed 22 July, 2016.
    Bottled 11 December, 2017.
Moderate to vigorous pour yields a light pink head over a dark pinkish mahogany body with some lacing. Head dissipates rather quickly. Nose of oak, red wine, citrus, and dried dark fruit. Taste of strawberry, raspberry, grapefruit, red wine, and oak. Hides its 11% abv very well and finishes with grapefruit, sweet red wine tannins, and tart berries. Wow, what beautiful Biere de Garde! Nice silk-like feel and overall, yet another AdSBC variant that is to my liking, and then some!
    Cheers!

Cheers NBSers. Looks like i’m the caboose for Engine #749. Just finished watching Flight of the Conchords live from London filmed last year. Those guys have aged well, like this beer.

As for glassware, I believe it makes a huge difference. Most of your taste is smell and this glass is the best (have a friend who is in cicerone training and confirmed) as far as aromatics are concerned. Spiegelau barrel aged glass on Amazon.

Big thanks to @jvgoor3786 for the bottle.

Pours a viscous, jet black. Nose is chocolate, smoke, leather, bourbon, brown sugar and time. Taste follows with dark stone fruit, cherry, plum, raisin , cardboard and old books. Mouthfeel in moderate to full. Surprisingly great with some age. Overall the 4.75 range.

    Best songs of the show
