Good day BAs! Starting off to be another warm semi-dry day here in NW PA. The ground has finally dried out enough to allow me to till my garden. Unfortunately, it's so late in the growing season that it's pointless. Oh well, maybe next year. However, I do have tons of apples again this year.

    Today's New Breakfast Beer:

A pleasing NEIPA before I switch to the bock family for the rest of the day.

This has a beautiful nose, composed of dark fruit galore; raisins, dates, even figs. Then it even shows a leather-y barrel aspect.

Taste delivers more on the chocolate, coffee, rye side of things. Coffee has a very faint green pepper to it, but not much.

The mouthfeel is close to the nose on being the winner of this beer for me, for one reason; the spicy rye tingle all the way through. I love it. However, other than that, it does seem rather thin for a Barrel aged imperial stout.

Overall, this beer definitely brings me some notes and aspects that I love and chooses to mix them throughout different stages of the drinking process.

Thanks Arthur, I hope you have a great day today!

    Have a nice Friday BA.

Incredible NEDIPA. Aromas and flavors of huge tangerine, orange juice, red grapefruit, lemon, lime, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, honeydew melon, guava, blueberry, gooseberry, licorice, citrus peel/zest, wood, and light peppercorn/pine hops; with moderate cracker, biscuit dough, light honeyed malt sweetness; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Mild pine, citrus pee/zest, herbal, floral, woody, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-plus body; very creamy, silky, bready oats, light sticky hops, and minimal lingering resins/rinds in the mouthfeel. Super smooth/soft, minimal warming 8.8%. Amazing Ella, Citra, Mosaic profile. Extremely juicy, vibrant, and lightly dank/earthy hops; with a perfectly balanced bready oat/malt backbone. Light residual sweetness with lingering bitter dryness. Definitely the best beer from them so far. Will get another pack for sure.

Visiting a small farm in the Somme region of northern France. Last two days I was just lying on my towel on the beach and despite the excellent weather we decided for some rural fun and feeding the animals.

Beer is a local bière de garde bought at said farm...

Insane DIPA as usual. Aromas and flavors of huge red grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, peach, pineapple, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, berries, citrus peel/rind, wood, peppercorn, and pine hops; with moderate honey, biscuit, light caramel/toasted malts; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Good sized pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, floral, woody, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation/body, and fairly crisp finishing. Balanced bready/grainy malt, and sticky/resinous/rindy hops in the mouthfeel. Moderate increasing resin dryness, no hop astringency. Super smooth, not overly aggressive, minimal warming 9%. Amazing classic Chinook, Centennial, Simcoe, Cascade, Citra profile. Extremely juicy, vibrant, dank, and earthy balanced hop complexity; great bready malt backbone, with minimal residual sweetness from lingering crisp resin dryness. Well attenuated for the ABV. One of the best west coast style DIPAs ever made, especially with having no newer hops.

Fantastic TIPA as expected. Fantastic rocky head retention/thick foamy lacing for the ABV. Aromas and flavors of huge tangerine, red grapefruit, lemon, lime, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, honeydew melon, berries, citrus peel/rind, wood, peppercorn, and pine hops; with moderate honey, caramel, toasted biscuit malts; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Slight booze in the aromas as it warms. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, floral, woody, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-full body; very creamy, silky, bready malts, some sticky/resinous/rindy hops, and slight slickness in the mouthfeel. Light-moderate increasing resin dryness, no hop astringency. Dangerously smooth, not overly aggressive, minimal warming 11.1%. Feels like Columbus, Citra, Simcoe. Extremely juicy, vibrant, dank, and earthy balanced hop complexity; with a good sized dark/bready malt backbone. Light residual sweetness with lingering resin dryness. Another amazing TIPA, did not prefer over the regular. Would buy again in Ohio.

New Local Helles. This was awesome. Fantastic fluffy head retention/spotty soapy lacing. Crystal clarity. Aromas and flavors of big cracker, white bread dough, toasted biscuit, light nutty malts; with moderate herbal, floral, woody, grassy, peppery hops. Light-moderate herbal, floral, woody, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation, light-medium body, and moderately crisp/clean finishing. Balanced bready/grainy malts and sticky hops in the mouthfeel. Slight lingering resins. Moderate increasing bitter dryness, no hop astringency. Perfectly clean lager flavors, no fruity/yeasty notes. Very flavorful/refreshing, not aggressive, not watery for 5.5%. Awesome clean Pils/Munich malt showcase, with perfectly balanced Noble hop presence. Minimal residual sweetness with crisp dryness. Loved it as expected. Spot on style. Already grabbed another 4 pack. Great Summer brew.

Going right back to another Tropicalia (although, no, I am not "locked in" on Creature Comforts :grinning: ).

Super digging this song, although that could be related to the fact that the last 8 minutes sounds like what happens when a doom metal band listens to too much Chris Isaak.
