    Prosciutto, arugula, and a drizzle of balsamic on top.
    The key is to fire the pizza stone for a good 45 mins-1 hour at 525, then slip it on the stone and bake for 8 minutes.
    THEN high BROIL the top for 2-3 minutes for the charring and blistering.
    We've never had a disappointment once we switched to the long pre-heat staging.

    How 'bout them apples? Okay, okay...it's not beer, I know. But you can't deny the interesting factor. I think some Islay drinkers might appreciate this. Definitely odd. Not sure if I like it or not. It's one of those things that your brain kind of stutters over, and thinks, "wait...what am I putting in my mouth?"

    A question that... Never mind. Not gonna make that joke.

    A full day so far. First, it's Rocket's birthday (his 11th -- we hope for many more), so he's holed up in the living room watching Japanese monster movies on TCM ('The X From Outer Space")...



    Mrs. Goot is at medical appointment with some quack...



    and I've just wrapped up a day of .223 Rem brass case prep, lawn mowing, smartphone repair, and various other household chores. It's now time for classic beer, a stogie, and eclectic tuneage...and may as well kill off that bottle of local rot gut rye...
