    Playing with some new hops, and mostly looking at the hop schedule, I don't do a lot of dry hopping, and am wondering how absurd this is..

    I can’t imagine trying to dry hop with leaf these days... with that much leaf you’re literally gonna lose half that liquid.

    Personably, I’d drop the C-40. Maybe some Honey Malt or C-10/20 at 2-3% of the grain bill. Cut the hops in half at 5 mins. Put the rest into the whirlpool with the others @<175f. T-90 or Cryo pellets all the way.

    I also personally detest pekko hops but some people seem to like them. I’ve dryhopped with a couple ounces of leaf maybe up to 4 oz but beyond that... just look at the 1 lb bag of leaf and imagine wedging it in the fermenter

    @Beejay

    Your flaked grain is near 30% eh?

    I wouldn’t go past 15% if I were you. What do you think about subbing in Carapils/Carafoam for some of that flaked grain?

    Also wouldn’t do leaf, too much vegetal matter. And would build your water to be soft and Cl focused.
