I’m thinking that, like last weekend, let’s beat the Europeans.

Oh wait. That’s just in women’s soccer and not to the first WBAYDN post?

    Shit.

    Never mind.

Anyway. Here’s a coffee beer on a Saturday morning.

Two out of three musicians on this song make me want to run away. Far away. But then I listen to the song and I think it’s not that bad. Okay. It doesn’t hurt my ears. Anyways, I watch the video and I say ummm...where’s the repeat button? Whatever. It’s faux metal with hot chicks in the video, and really, what more do you expect from a Saturday morning?

Have a nice Saturday BA. Been up for a while doing site work as usual for a weekend. A lot to clean up. My sleep schedule has been wonky this week.

Almost 3 years old now. Wax was thick and brittle, a bit difficult to remove. This was amazing. Solid fluffy head retention, light lacing. Aromas and flavors of huge juicy/tart/tangy red raspberries, fruit jam/skin/seeds, raisin, plum, fig, date, apricot, cherry, red apple, caramel, brown sugar, vanilla, toffee, bourbon, toasted oak, biscuit, and brown bread/crust; with lighter notes of chocolate, cocoa, molasses, leather, tobacco, oak char, peppercorn, herbal, and yeast earthiness. Light-moderate fruit tang/tartness, and bourbon/oak tannin spiciness on the finish. Medium carbonation and very full body. Balanced creamy/slick/bready malts, bourbon/oak tannins, and raspberry tang/acids in the mouthfeel. Light-moderate increasing acidic/tangy/tannic dryness; no cloying/astringency. Dangerously smooth sipping, mild increasing warmth of 18.5%, minimal lingering barrel booze. Basically just like a fruited version of their old ale. Not as much cocoa nibs as I expected. Perfectly balanced between super juicy/jammy raspberries, vanilla, fruity yeast, rich malts, and bourbon barrel presence/integration. Minimal residual sweetness with lingering drying. Wow, really impressive showing. Aged wonderfully. This is the smoothest beer for the ABV I’ve ever had from the Bruery. 4.37

    A timeless classic.

Outstanding gose as expected. Aromas and flavors of big juicy/fairly tart/tangy blueberry, strawberry, blackberry, blood orange, peach, fruit skin, citrus zest, lemon, lime, pear, melon, red/green apple, white grape/wine, sea salt, hay, straw, and grass; with moderate wheat, cracker, white bread dough malts; light pepper/lacto funk, and yeast earthiness. Light-moderate fruity/lactic tartness; light fruit tang and spiciness on the finish. Medium-high carbonation, light-medium body, and moderately crisp/clean finishing. Balanced bready/grainy wheat and lactic acid in the mouthfeel; light fruit tang and salinity. Light-moderate increasing acidic/carbonated dryness, no puckering. Very flavorful/refreshing, 4.5%. Not overly lactic or salty. Awesome balance of juicy fruits, salt, Lacto complexity, and pale/wheat malts against acidity. This was a little less acidic, and a little more malty than the previous letters. Still spot on stuff. Will get more while I can.

Haven't listened to this album in a while. Awesome stuff, even if it was their least favorite album to produce; due to the label wanting them to make a "radio friendly" album.

Good day BAs! if everything goes as planned (What are the odds of that???), today I'll finish my reloading bench and finish mowing the paddy and finish ... . Well, at least I'll finish off my New Breakfast Beer:

Quite good, but then it's hard to go too far wrong if you age in Wild Turkey barrels.

Incredible IPA as always, one of my main classic favorites. Lasting thick head retention/lacing the whole glass. Aromas and flavors of big red grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, peach, pineapple, apricot, mango, melon, citrus peel/zest, light peppercorn, and pine hops; with moderate toasted bread, light honey/caramel malt balance; and floral/grassy hop earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, floral, grassy, spicy bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation/body. Balanced creamy/bready malts and sticky hops in the mouthfeel. Light lingering resins/rinds. Fairly crisp/drying, and extremely drinkable; never astringent. Never gets old, always fantastic. I will always love classic C hopped beers, even with all of the new hop varieties around. Awesome vibrant/juicy, and fairly dank/earthy Centennial hops; great balancing bready Munich malt backbone, with minimal residual sweetness from lingering crisp resin dryness. Been keeping it around more often this year. Just got a fresh pack this week. Less than a month old.

Cool and heavy fog again this morning. The Alchemist’s “Luscious”, in the proper teku I scored last Saturday in a thrift store in the City:

#properglassware. We plan on going back into the City today for more shopping and to visit the Asian Art Museum which is having a live tattooing exhibit. I’ll try to post a pic. Have a great Saturday y’all!

Looking forward to this low key Saturday where I have nothing to do and all day not to do it . . .

Light yellow gold color with white cap and lacing.

Slightly tart aroma of somewhat vinous ripe fruit. Just a bit of graininess and grassyness.

Taste is a little more sour/tart than the scent implies with a flavor primarily of ripe fruit. It's a clean, clear natural fruit flavor that is somewhat lower in intensity than some other Passion Fruit beers I have tried. There is again a grassy touch that doesn't detract at all. Other than the fruit flavor I can't identify much else.

Delicious IPA. Great fluffy head retention/soapy lacing. Aromas and flavors of big tangerine, red grapefruit, lemon, lime, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, honeydew, watermelon, red apple, berries, citrus peel/zest, wood, peppercorn, and pine hops; with moderate wheat, cracker, white bread dough malts; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, floral, woody, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation, light-medium body, and fairly crisp/clean finishing. Balanced bready/grainy malts, sticky hops and light resins/rinds in the mouthfeel. Light-moderate increasing bitter dryness, no hop astringency. Refreshingly smooth, not aggressive, no warmth of 5.9%. Great Ekuanot, El Dorado, Galaxy profile. Very juicy, vibrant, and fairly dank/earthy hops; with a nice clean pale/wheat malt backbone. Minimal residual sweetness with crisp dryness. Would buy again.

Fantastic TIPA. Aromas and flavors of huge tangerine, red grapefruit, lemon, lime, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, honeydew melon, berries, citrus peel/rind, wood, peppercorn, and pine hops; with moderate honey, caramel, toasted biscuit malts; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Slight booze in the aromas as it warms. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, floral, woody, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-full body; very creamy, silky, bready malts, some sticky/resinous/rindy hops, and slight slickness in the mouthfeel. Light-moderate increasing resin dryness, no hop astringency. Dangerously smooth, not overly aggressive, minimal warming 11.1%. Feels like Columbus, Citra, Simcoe. Extremely juicy, vibrant, dank, and earthy balanced hop complexity; with a good sized dark/bready malt backbone. Light residual sweetness with lingering resin dryness. Another amazing TIPA, did not prefer over the regular. Would buy again in Ohio.
