Cranking up my Friday morning . . .




Light gold color with white cap and lacing.

Aroma of bready grain and floral hops.

Taste is pretty straight forward bready grain at first with a slight floral aspect about mid palate. Bready flavor which is more meaty than I expected with a little hop influence. The hops I get are somewhat floral which are pleasant though not very pronounced. I don't really get agave sweetness though that might be contributing to the texture. A rather short finish with a tinge of hop bitterness.

Medium texture with balancing carbonation.

Not much more to say, it's clean, inoffensive and I suspect would be versatile with a variety of foods.

I'm diving into the cellar this morning...

I purchased a close out gift set last month with a 2012 & 2013 bottle plus the snifter for $6. The 2012 bottle is settled in for long term aging, but the 2013 bottle is tasting good this morning. Cheers!

 

Beer in morning sure tastes fine, like that was its main design. Fills you up, and cheers your mood better than some breakfast food. Malted grains kick start the day. For me there is no better way. Cheers!

Looking forward to a short visit / stopover to London in August. Hope I'll have an opportunity to visit the Cloudwater taproom there. Thanks @DoctorZombies for mentioning this new taproom recently! Cloudwater from a can is nice, but the fresh stuff from tap is even much better.
