Greetings from hot as hell Sweden! Starting Saturday with a massive stout by Long Island’s finest. Watching Captain Marvel on Blu-Ray.

    Have a nice Saturday BA.

Awesome NEDIPA as usual. Aromas and flavors of big tangerine, red grapefruit, lemon, lime, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, blueberry, gooseberry, wood, mint, anise, peppercorn, and pine hops; with moderate wheat, cracker, biscuit dough, light honey/toasted malts; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, floral, woody, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-full body; balanced creamy/bready wheat/oats, sticky hops, and some resins/rinds in the mouthfeel. Lightly increasing lingering resin dryness, no hop astringency. Dangerously smooth, nicely soft, not aggressive, minimal warming 8.8%. Assuming the same flavor hops as the base beer: Ella, Mosaic, Falconers Flight, and Amarillo. Extremely juicy, and fairly dank/earthy hops; with a great balanced wheat/oat/malt backbone. Lightly sweet from lingering resin dryness. Did not prefer it over the regular. Got a fresh pack recently. Would get again.

Been finding a ton of new Black Metal bands this week thanks to a giant playlist I found on Spotify.

I was super excited to try this year's version of The Wolf, since it is now 12% ABV instead of 13.5% ABV. Both versions are great, but I really like this one. I will pick up a lot more of this beer. @scream, your boy has done well, though I miss the "sandpaper" labels.

[IMG] Ripping up Niagara Falls today, but a little juice to start. I was talking with JZ about this session the other night, it is very solid but at $17 plus wouldn’t purchase twice. Cheers all.

There is over 250 edit requests right now. I am going to be busy all day.

Glad this is back again. Fantastic DIPA. Amazing head retention and lasting thick lacing on the glass. Aromas and flavors of big grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, peach, pineapple, passion fruit, mango, citrus peel/rind, pepper, and pine hops; with moderate toasted biscuit, light honeyed malts; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-plus body; balanced bready/grainy malts and sticky/resinous/rindy hops in the mouthfeel. Moderate increasing resin dryness, minimal hop astringency. Pretty aggressive, but easy drinking. Minimal warming 9.4%. Awesomely dank and vibrant Simcoe/Amarillo hop complexity; nice malt backbone, with minimal residual sweetness with lingering resin dryness. Not as amazing as I remember when I first had it many years ago, but still really outstanding classic hopped DIPA. Will get more.

Another beer is called for while finishing Captain Marvel. Liking it way more than I did the first time... The movie, that is. The beer is always stellar.

Fantastic RIS as expected. Lasting rocky head retention/thick foamy lacing. Aromas and flavors of huge milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, dark roasted coffee, caramel, brown sugar, molasses, toffee, roasted nuts, toasted biscuit, and dark bread/crust; with lighter notes of vanilla, licorice, raisin, prune, cherry, fig, date, smoke, charcoal, leather, tobacco, herbal, grass, peppercorn, pine, and yeast earthiness. Light-moderate pine, herbal, grassy, peppery hops; and roast, charred, coffee bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation and fairly full body; very creamy, silky, velvety, bready malts; some sticky hops and chalky char/roast in the mouthfeel. Light lingering resins. Lightly increasing lingering hop/char bitter dryness; no cloying, acrid, astringency. Smooth sipping, mild increasing warmth of 10.6%. Nicely soft, not overly bitter/charred. Fantastic balance of rich malts and fruity/nutty coffee complexity; with balancing earthy hops, and restrained fruity yeast. Light residual sweetness with lingering dryness. Spot on style example. Got a full 6 pack last month. Still a few more around.

I could drink this beer all day. Speaking of all day, I figured out how to make perfectly-done eggs in the microwave. My plan is to only eat eggs today, with all my carbohydrates coming from beer.

Outstanding Gose. Aromas and flavors of big tart/sour lemon, lime, orange, grapefruit, citrus peel/zest, peach, pear, melon, red/green apple, white grape/wine, coriander, sea salt, hay, straw, and grass; with moderate wheat, cracker, white bread dough malts; light peppercorn, lacto funk, and yeast earthiness. Light-moderate fruity/lactic tang/tartness; light zesty bitterness, and coriander spiciness on the finish. Medium-plus carbonation, light-medium body, and fairly crisp/clean finishing. Balanced creamy/grainy wheat, lactic acid; light sticky spice, and salinity in the mouthfeel. Light-moderate increasing tart/tangy/spicy dryness; zero puckering. Very flavorful/refreshing, not overly lactic/salty, not watery for 4.2%. Perfectly balanced vibrant citrus, Lacto complexity, coriander, salt, and pale/wheat malts against acidity. Minimal residual sweetness with crisp dryness. Extremely spot on stuff. Might get another pack.

Best By date on this was in May so most of the adjuncts are gone. Luckily I really enjoyed the base and that is still good. Glass fogged up immediately upon touching the air outside, does not bode well for me having to cut the grass when the dew dries.

Fantastic as always. Aromas and flavors of huge mango, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, tangerine, grapefruit, lemon, lemon, lime, passion fruit, papaya, honeydew melon, citrus peel/rind, wood, peppercorn, and pine hops; with moderate honey, toasted biscuit, and light caramel malt sweetness; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, floral, woody, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-full bodied. Sticky/resinous hops, with balancing creamy/bready malts in the mouthfeel. Light-moderate increasing resin dryness, no hop astringency. Mildly increasing warmth of 9.5%. Dangerously smooth. Fantastic Simcoe, Williamette profile. Super juicy, vibrant, and fairly dank/earthy hops; nicely rich balanced malt backbone. Not overly sweet/heavy from lingering resin drying. Such a delicious DIPA. I love Chillwave more, but this is still always amazing. The main difference is Simcoe hops here, vs Mosaic in Chillwave. This is basically imperial Commodore Perry, minus Cascade hops. Glad we got it this year while it was still fresh. Last couple years we only saw it in August after the best before date! .4% higher ABV this time around as well.
