I'd be drinking more Odell IPA if Snake River Pako's wasn't around. Great brew.

IIRC, both won gold at the GABF.

started the night with a Long Trail Hibernator. I'd say meh, but it's only meh compared to the usual fare in my fridge. I think it's actually a pretty solid, low key, maltcentric ale. On to round two and a Backwoods Bastard. I might hit an FBS next.....or maybe a Bourbon COunty Stout. We'll see where this all goes....

Ah... soo good. I think I'm just a sucker for a well done milk stout. Not sure if I could choose between this and left hand. Maybe will need to do a blind test soon.

Sierra Nevada Pale Ale. First I've had since I switched to Torpedo, over a year ago. I'm kinda getting back into the pale ales, and away from the IPAs. Dunno why, just am.

Getting ready to polish off the Lost Abbey Serpent's Stout I started last night (although, that bottle of Founders Bolt Cutter I picked up today is giving me that ``drink me'' look. You know the one.)

Weyerbacher Seventeen! Finally. It's a good beer, but it's also kind of a boozy mess and not a saison. That's not to say that I don't enjoy it—I definitely do. But it's not on style and has its own issues, on some level.

You know what I’d really like to try? The second runnings of this beer. I feel like that could be pretty great, as a saison. Funk it, cork and cage it, and I think that could legitimately be a limited release from Weyerbacher.

Seeing Darkness poured into a shaker pint makes me cry a little on the inside.

I have to say, the La Trappe chalice is seriously one of the most beautiful pieces of glassware out there. Prettier than any of the trappist glassware for sure. If only I enjoyed actually drinking from chalices/goblets.

Another winner. Nearly flawless. The blending and wine barrel treatment on this is amazing.

    Evening LNBA gents!

Still in Vacation in Maine, so when in Rome..... Allagash Odyssey followed by Rising Tide Tempest.

The Odyssey is a nice beer and a good effort at brewing a quad; however, it still fails to equal the better Belgian versions!
Rising Tide is a nice coffee porter too, but Ursa Minor still tops out as my favorite regular beer from Rising Tide.

    Cheers!
