    [​IMG] So I had heard nothing about this brewery and looked at a few ok reviews and said the heck with it let’s try it, canned 6/17/19 still in the sweet spot. Pours a very attractive yellow orange, with a finger sticky white head that leaves a thick wall of lace with nice retention. 4.25

    Smell is tangerine, guava, apricot, pineapple, and some ripe honeydew. 4.25

    Taste follows angering, apricot, guava, honeydew, and some pineapple in the excellent finish. 4.5

    Mouthfeel is bigger than average, soft gentle and sticky, and at 7.5% big on flavor but really drinkable. 4.5

    Overall I am a big fan, thought it was excellent and wish I could get these guys in NH. 4.25

    Lagunitas Willettized Coffee Stout

    I only pick this up one or two bottles at a time. Not sure why; I should just buy a freaking case. It's that good.

    Bottled 3/1/19. Best value on the market for a coffee stout. Looks like another great day shaping up here...we will likely drive into Berkeley for more sightseeing and shopping today. Cheers and have a great Monday y’all!

    look: 4.25 | smell: 4.75 | taste: 4.25 | feel: 4.25 | overall: 4.25

    Ink black body with a thick, creamy light tan head. Huge aroma of maple and cinnamon all wrapped within a blanket of roasted grain and coffee; smells very much like french toast. Heavy flavor of maple syrup with a noticeable yet not flagrant presence of bourbon; some cinnamon and vanilla; maple syrup linger long into the finish. Heavy body; thick, oily, viscous; plenty of residual sugar body with a dull, dense sweetness throughout.

    This is an extremely fine smelling beer. The brewery nailed the french toast description perfectly. In the other categories, this beer shines as a barrel aged stout. Sweet, heavy, and alluring.

    [​IMG] Never made it to Troeg’s like I had planned, but found a Wegman’s in Rochester NY that still had this tasty brew.[​IMG] That bottle share with @jzeilinger was so much fun. Like meeting a long lost, less handsome older brother! JZ you are the man!

    Is it too late to get in on the Dubbel Tasting?

    A lovely beer, and I believe a great Dubbel - I’ve tried quite a few others, but I really enjoy the balance and surprising drinkability of Chimay. I may need to revise my opinions on Belgian ales.
