They nailed the look, for sure. I wish it was more balanced beyond that. Still, I was extremely grateful to try it. Cheers!

Going on a date with the missus, pre-gaming with a Sand City/Resident Culture DIPA collab. This is so solid, great old school DIPA. Lemon dank and pine. Cheers all.

This beer reminds me of my days in CT. As much as I really didn't like being there, this will always be a bright spot. Still tastes just as good to me, and worthy of a 100 rating. Cheers.

...yes, and USPS just dropped off an old vinyl twofer Blue Note Reissue of Andrew Hill - an outstanding jazz cat...I would have loved to find the 10-minute cut of 'One On One', but 'Pax' side 3, track 3, will work...

Good afternoon everyone. I keep my beer in a fridge in my shed/man cave. I get home from work today and my wife approaches me with this beer she found while cleaning out the refrigerator in the kitchen. A Highland Midnight Summit Vanilla Milk Stout from a Highland variety pack I bought last Winter. “Do you still want this?” She asked. Is the Pope Catholic? Does a bear...... of course I want it. After the first few sips, it has held up pretty well I’m pleased to report. A nice surprise and I’ll look forward to more next Winter.

Hope everyone had a good Tuesday. Another busy day of solving problems and going to meetings.

A Unibroue IPA, first time for everything. This was excellent. Lasting rocky head retention/thick foamy lacing. Aromas and flavors of big lightly tart/tangy peaches, fruit fuzz/skin/pits, tangerine, grapefruit, lemon, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, mango, honeydew melon, red apple, gooseberry, citrus peel/rind, wood, mint, peppercorn, coriander, and pine hops/yeast; with moderate wheat, cracker, white bread dough, lightly toasted biscuit malts; light banana/clove, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, floral, woody, grassy, peppery bitterness; yeast spiciness; and light fruit tang/tartness on the finish. Medium-high carbonation, medium body, and fairly crisp finishing. Balanced creamy/bready/grainy malts, sticky hops; some resins/rinds, and fruit tang/acids in the mouthfeel. Light-moderate increasing bitter/spicy dryness, no hop/fruit astringency. Very smooth, nicely soft, not aggressive, no warmth of 6%. Great Cascade, Galaxy, Citra, and Lemondrop hop profile. Very juicy and fairly dank/earthy hops/fruity/yeast; with a great clean bready malt backbone. Minimal residual sweetness with crisp resin dryness. More of a Belgian IPA overall, even though their house yeast strain isn't as expressive as usual. Really well done. 4.03

Just had my first experience with this phenomenon, which is saying a lot at my age, but I just had my first ever way too cold beer. Yep, a first world problem of the first order. Blasphemous to the end? Well no, actually I was really surprised, my because I treasure a nice cold ass beer. But in this case it was a Lagunitas ipa that came out of the tap at slightly north of 33 degrees, very slightly, I’m surprised it flowed actually and into a completely frosted glass. At the first sip it tasted like when I’ve frozen a beer left too long in the freezer and you take a few sips off the top, all ice. The beer was unrecognizable as an IPA, so there’s my what I drank today, about 1/4 of a glass and quit.

Bowl of chili with a new local beer from Wormtown - Mass Whole Lager. Made from all locally sourced ingredients with a canning date of 6/27/2019. Paid $9.99 a sixer, I think it's pretty damn good. It's on the lighter side for a lager but has a nice breadiness with a modest hoppiness and pretty good mouthfeel - 4.0% ABV.
