Long work day! Had an all natural “green” burial today out in a “Woodland Cemetery” in south east GA. Love doing those, everything goes back into the earth no chemicals or metals/plastics put in the ground.

Spotted this on the shelf today and after seeing it on these threads many a time I had to grab some.

    M-43 Tart Strawberry

Aroma of sweet berries and hops were just flooding out the glass when I poured. Balance on this is really nice too. Sweetness upfront, and about mid palate that tart green strawberry comes in. Outstanding stuff! I like the tart note on this style; adds a little wrinkle into a flooded NE IPA market.

    Cheers!

Pinkferrari, a DIPA brewed by Veil. Canned yesterday. It was not fun going to the brewery tonight. Rain and a plethora of accidents on I64.

Excellent Hazy IPA. Great fluffy head retention/spotty foamy lacing. Aromas and flavors of big mandarin orange, red grapefruit, lemon, lime, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, mango, honeydew melon, red apple, strawberry, gooseberry, coconut, white grape, citrus peel/rind, wood, mint, peppercorn, and pine hops; with moderate wheat, cracker, biscuit dough malts; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, floral, woody, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation/body; balanced creamy/bready/grainy malts, some sticky hops, and light resins/rinds in the mouthfeel. Lightly increasing lingering bitter dryness; no hop astringency. Very smooth/soft, no warmth of 7.2%. Great Strata, Cashmere, Enigma, Hallertau Blanc, & Eureka profile. Very juicy, vibrant, and fairly dank/earthy hops; with a great balanced wheat/oat/malt backbone. Light residual sweetness with lingering dryness. Would buy again, no complaints. 4

Idle Hands is a small brewery just outside of Boston and they make an array of excellent beers. This New England DIPA holds its own against the big boys!

If you are going to Alchemist, the new Lawson’s Finest brewery and tasting room is not too far, and the beer selection is awesome!

    Have a great trip!

Seems you kind of like this beer or am I reading into it too much?

So my gripe is that Bell's and the state of Virginia got into a pissing contest about distribution and Bell's must have said, fuck you, and pulled out of the state leaving those who love Two Hearted without a fix.

I am visiting Mindful Brewing just outside of Pittsburgh on the Southside. I've had three...3x5oz samples and all have been good. Their Kolsch was the star of the show.
