The first half of the can poured slightly hazy (I could see my fingers on the opposite side of the glass) but when things settled and I poured the second half the tone shifted to a turbid light gold color. Large white cap and lacing.

Aroma is a melange of citrus/fruit, lemon, grapefruit, pineapple and something like peach.

Taste presents a firm hop bitterness at first but that quickly resolves into a complex whole that manages to be both brightly hoppy and balanced at the same time. By mid palate I'm getting more fruit than citrus and the beer finishes on a high dry note.

 

Hoppy hump day advocates.. No work today so I stoked on a bunch of killer neipa from evil twin nyc.. First dipa has to do with mariachi bands in the subway and its delicious cheers

 

Next up by evil twin nyc is the only way to deal with the currant issues..Sour IPA brewed with milk sugar sweet and tart blackberries, black currants and lime... Intense berry flavor with an amazing mouth feel and hands down best sour ipa ive ever had cheers

Finally had some luck ordering Westvleteren from the source. The bad news is all 12 and 8 were sold out by the time it was my turn. But I'm very happy with the two cases of blonde I could get and probably prefer it above 8.

Only thing I'll have to do is driving up to Westveteren in a couple of weeks to get the beer

Blue Star Brewing Cinco Peso pale ale after a 6.7 mile jog pushing the 3 year old in a stroller on an unusually cool and very low humidity summer morning. Brisket, egg, and avocado breakfast tacos not pictured because they are in my stomach already. A delicious English style pale ale.

 

I just walked to work only to find out that the schedule was messed up. While everyone was arguing about who was supposed to be there or not, I slipped out the side door and went a bought a sixer of notorious POG. Now I'm drinking one on my day off. It's so good. One of my new faves.
