What beer are you drinking now? #2476

A day off and was having a difficult time sleeping this morning, so watching some tube and drinking this world class grade A hopjuice! Cheers all.

Thanks @superspak for this can. Pours a slightly cloudy orange, with a half finger sticky white head that leaves plenty of lace behind, with solid retention. 3.75

Smell is tangerine, apricot, pineapple, mango, and some mild grapefruit. 3.75

Taste follows tangerine, pineapple, mango, apricot, and a nice healthy dose of grapefruit in the balanced finish. 4

Mouthfeel is about average, plenty of life missing that soft carbonation, a little dry, and at 6% ABV easy going down but more flavor than most at this ABV. 3.75

Overall a very solid IPA, but not a NEIPA in my opinion. Very tasty just the same. 3.75

 

Got this can from @Nachos4two and if it is National IPA Day why not have a black IPA. Poured into a 16 Nordic pint glass not sure when it was canned. Pours near pitch black with a finger of sticky light brown head that leaves plenty of webs of lace behind. 4.25

Smell is cocoa nibs, Expresso, pineapple, tangerine, vanilla bean, toffee, and hints of grapefruit rind. 4

Taste follows chocolate, coffee, vanilla, toffee upfront ends with pineapple, orange, and a hint of grapefruit. 4

Mouthfeel is bigger than medium, plenty of life, a tad dry, and at 6.5% ABV extremely drinkable, but way more flavor than most at this ABV. 4.25

Overall I have always been a fan of this style that is slowly fazing out and this is an excellent example of the style. 4

 

How about the Milkshake IPA? Pours a very attractive orange with a 2 plus sticky white head that leaves plenty of thin webs of lace as it slowly settles with excellent retention. 4.25

Smell is pineapple, tangerine, vanilla, and a little grapefruit. 4.25

Taste follows straight up juice bomb pineapple, tangerine, vanilla, and just a little bit of grapefruit bitterness. 4.25

Mouthfeel is bigger than average, soft on the palate with gentle carbonation, slightly sticky but not dry, and at 6.5% ABV extremely crushable. 4.5

Overall this is very tasty, I would crush this all summer long if NH got this. 4.25
