Other Half (2019)

All I can say is different strokes for different folks. I just drank a ton of Pliny in NorCal and loved every drop; it’s not new and sexy, but it’s my Platonic ideal of the WCIPA. The only thing that has come close on the East Coast
is MBC Dinner. But again, I think we’re talking about individual preference, not “insane” ratings.

As far as ASB and Fieldwork, they made two of my three favorite beers of the year, although I should note the ASB beer (Wholesome Jams) was an OH collab.

 

Also, if you’re still out there, see if you can find Fieldwork Young Murks on tap and let me know what you think. There might even be cans left in Berkeley.

Seems like for Rochester brewed beer they do "silent" releases (aka not announcing it on their main account) because the case count is so small. Probably won't be around long, like the other ROC beer.

 

Do you mean the ACE may be from Rochester? I just checked their story and it looks like they have Mylar Bags up there, so I guess they may have started brewing the OG lineup stuff, but no ACE on that post.

 

Purely speculation. Although the newest OH BK IG story seems to imply Diamond Reflection is from ROC, and ACE is not.

 

I think point was the other beer is Rochester brewed so making the (BK) release silent since likely not much of it. And ACE being sold at same time

 

I'm just going to carry-on believing that the Rochester beers are far inferior because NYC water.

 

It helps locals, who can decide to get it on a whim. Takes away from the week of planning and camping from bridge and tunnel crowd.

 

while that used to be the case, things last for days now so I don't think it really helps. It's probably a scarcity thing.

 

I don't see what the kerfuffle is about this silent release. It was clearly Creepyownerguy's way of screwing with all of us on this thread. We are, by far, the most important set of customers for Other Half and it was simply his way of getting in on all our cheeky shenanigans.

 

Well the jokes on him because I already stocked up on a terrible IPA for my weekend fix since I thought ACE was MIA.
