CANBIF: From the cellar.

To my target: I like any and all beer styles, but I have a particular penchant for those that have spent some time in barrels. I don't really rate or log my beers anywhere so you won't be able to gleam much info from that if you're looking. If you enjoy a beer, I'm sure I'll enjoy it too!

To my target: I’m into any style but by far my favourite is big BA imperial stouts. I’d prefer to have new beers I haven’t had before but always open to having ones I’ve had in the past that I loved. I track all my beers on untappd https://untappd.com/user/CMatieshin

 

Are we doing hints and hauls for this?

If so:

Hint #1: I have both sent a box to, and received a box from my target in previous iterations of CANBIF.

Hint #2: My target has reviewed/rated more beers that I have, but does so on a different site or application.

Hint #3: My target, if nothing has changed since the last time, is a ticker. This means some of the US stuff I was hoping to send is not going to make the cut. Not to worry, I should have more than enough on hand to ensure the box is full of well cellared new ticks.

 

Box is packed and is now on the road. I suck at hints but basically it is heading to a quaint neighborhood in a major Canadian city.

 

I believe that is me!

Box received this afternoon. I was only able to grab a quick glance before my twins woke up from their nap. I’ll get photos and a list out for everyone either tonight or tomorrow. Everything is intact and from what I could glimpse, the contents look great!!

Very excited by this box. All beers are new and a couple on my unwritten wants list!

What is more, one of the bottles I received is actually something I wanted to send to my target that I have in my cellar but was having trouble letting it go because I hadn’t had it before. Now it is in the box for sure!!

Sorry, I have been bad about posting so far. Summer is a busy time.

For my sender: I love most things. Small format barleywine/RIS/Pastry are a fav. Always love Lambic. Mead/Ice cider are great. Hell, if you have cool homebrew that fits the bill, I want that! Shying away from kettle sours/super sour beer (lets be honest, they don't cellar all that well also.

For my Target: I know you a little. Your box is coming from the east (doy, right?) I have one bottle picked out that I know you will love.

 

The Surly is the 2016.
The Prairie is regular version brew with the roaster noted.

Shipped a box eastward today (tough to go west from Victoria)!

My target hasn't posted any preferences in this thread, but has in past CANBIF threads so hopefully their tastes haven't changed too much in the last year!

 

To my target: I'm just finishing up packing my box and shipping it east of me. It will be sent out later this week. This person seems to not enjoy a specific style of beer that I have a lot of in my cellar.
